He’s not gonna stop playing until Hugh Freeze is unemployed or dead.

Called this one. How can you limit a players eligibility to play for a school when they are considered employees? You cant.

In other words I’m not good enough for nfl but let me get paid in college for 10 more years
I thought the whole point of this ncaa settlement was to stop all future lawsuits
Nil greed is gonna come to a head at some point and revenue sharing is gonna piss off those athletes who get less

As long as your advancing toward a meaningful degree, why not?

Saw this coming also. Just like there is no law that would prevent someone from going to college for 30 years, there is no legal reason, other than an NCAA rule, that should prevent someone from playing college football for 15-20 years.
The NCAA, to my knowledge, has lost every one of these student athlete cases that have gone to trial. There is no reason to believe the NCAA won’t lose this one.
Think about a kid making $100k a year in NIL money but who isn’t good enough to be guranteed that he will make an NFL team. He “works” 5 months a year playing college football. Why should he be forced to give that up and then have to take a job making $50k a year working 12 months a year?
College football is about to get even weirder, and we havent even gotten to the point where guys that have been cut from NFL teams sue to go back and play more college ball.

He just checked Auburn's 2025 schedule to decide where to transfer.

Best reply on that thread:
"I hope he filed it in Alabama. He's undefeated in that state.".

I totally agree, and all of this is so predictable.

What sucks is that this kid just wants to be able to play an extra year or two because he went JUCO.. but unfortunately, this ruling will impact every other player.. I suppose a coach can process a player and avoid the issue, but this just opens up a can of worms..

Wouldn't have to transfer. Auburn @ Vandy next year. 2026 will be where it gets tricky for him. Got to wait on those new SEC schedules.

If he gets to play again, Vandy gonna kick everyone's arse next year.

Well in theory, NIL has nothing to do with NCAA rules. NIL is supposed to be outside money for his name, image, or likeness. He can make money while a JUCO player if Wheaties wants to sign him. Hell, he can make money before or after he's completed his career if people want to buy his jersey or face on a product or whatever.
I'm not going to read all that stuff anyway. I don't think anything stops him from selling himself,
