each top team has 1-2 tough games max, oregon had 1, OSU has 2, Penn State has 1

could come in to play in december/jan if these teams aren't battle tested

Oregon had 2. BSU is solid.

Boise had that game at one point, got killed on special teams at the end.

I don't think they expected USCw to be bad and Michigan/Washington to be average.

USC wasn't supposed to suck so bad, and they are on Penn State's schedule.

Michigan being mediocre helps Ohio State and Oregon

Those boys are going to get their lunch money taken in the playoffs. They are going to get three teams in that have played 1-3 real games and 9-10 scrimmages

They didn’t realize USC and Michigan were going to suck. They definitely tried to schedule several games pairing up the big boys.

Why would they rig the schedules to be softer, anyway? Big games make money. And if, as you say, big games make teams more prepared for playoff runs, that’s another advantage.

Doesn’t make any sense.

Rigged schedule.

The imagination of SEC fans is priceless.

Oh and USC has scoreboard on the SEC(LSU).

Ashton Jeanty had 192 yards on 25 carries (7.7 YPC) and Oregon won on a walk-off FG, after trailing for a good portion of the night.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to play Boise State right now either, which means if Alabama somehow backs their way into the CFP, we'll get matched-up with them right after Jeanty wins the Heisman, and he'll go off for about 300 yards.

There's only like 3 good teams in the B1G this year. Penn State and Illinois are mid teams. Oregon, OSU, and Indiana are all solid.

The bottom feeders of the B1G are just pathetic. Rutgers, Minnesota, Illinois, northwestern, purdue, maryland, indiana are just never going to be good. They have no chance of ever winning a championship or the conference.

It's even worse looking at the ACC and big 12. Are we really gonna put an iowa state or a k-state in this playoff?

Not sure it was rigged, just a lot of suck in the expanded B1G. Guessing which teams will be good from year to year isn't easy.

For example, not even the most ardent 'tDecline is real!" pumper would have predicted Vandy to be one of the teams to knock off Bama this season.

There's not many teams in the top 30, I'd like to play right now tbh.

If you notice, many of them want to shout "tDecline!" but many of them are still afraid to say "we're going to beat Bama". Strange times we're living in.

Texas has how many tough games?
Missouri?
A&M?
Hell going into the season LSU only had USC and Bama. A&M is ranked higher than pre-season expectations and USC isn't good, but they lost to them

The B1G had a bottom team beat an SEC team playing for #1 in the standings this weekend.

Both Oregon and Ohio State look pretty weak along the lines of scrimmage. I’d rather play them than Bama, Georgia or Texas
