Why is this problem unique to Alabama ?

Set aside, Milroe’s poor quarterback for a moment. We all know that was a huge contributing factor in the loss Saturday night. However, there has been a persistent contributing factor for the past three seasons, and it’s not being corrected. I’m talking about penalties and mental mistakes. This began under Coach Saban And he apparently didn’t have an answer for it. In the old days, the answer was quite clear; you sit the player down until they learn to play mistake free football. But then the portal comes along, and apparently, CNS didn’t know how to adjust and adapt to it. Afraid to bench players, and/or lambast them verbally, The players soon realized the coach had lost his bite it has continued, and gotten worse and worse Almost every week.and it appears this problem is unique to Alabama. You don’t see Georgia or Ohio State having record number of penalties and players losing their cool and getting stupid penalties and making stupid mistakes. I’m not sure if it’s coaches just being lax or a specific group of players Acting like they are entitled. But whatever it is, it has to be stopped and stopped now. It’s completely out of control. I know coach Deboer Has tried to be a players coach and be their friends, but we see that’s getting us nowhere. It’s time for a change. The coaching staff needs to clamp down on this and there needs to be consequences for Their lack of focus and repeated mistakes. If you allow it to continue, it’s just going to continue ad nauseam sit them down, chew them out, or tell them there’s The portal, don’t let the door hit you on the arse on the way out. As we have said time and time again, no player is bigger than the program. It’s time to put our money where our mouth is. If we have to burn it to the ground and start from square one, so be it.

It takes a special player that wants to be great despite all of the outside influences and we don't have enough of those guys right now. We have a bunch of 4-5 star entitled NIL tit babies. Instead of concentrating on being the VERY BEST at their craft, they would rather have music playing during practice and that leads to a lack of concentration and therefore stupid penalties at inopportune times. IF DeBoer has any balls, he turns the music off and gets down to business or keeps the status quo and go down in flames.

I'm at a point where I just expect at least 10 penalties and at least 2 of them to be of the personal foul/unsportsmanlike conduct. I don't know the answer to make it better except maybe start recruiting smarter players. They won't be as good but maybe it will be better overall not shooting ourselves in the foot constantly extending drives or completely stalling our offensive drives. Our players have had absolute 0 impulse control over the last 7 years or so

Its a good question. When Bama shifted to an offense first program, the program started fundamentally changing. The margin of error was much smaller when you were playing ball control offense. When your offense is much more explosive id just assume that feels like a safety net. So much continual focus is not necessary

Burnout. Our seniors were in kindergarten the last time the goal was just making a bowl game instead of winning a national championship. Lots of guys on this team, and the last few teams, place a ton of value on saying they played football at Alabama and that's pretty much it. High pressure environment + a lack of interest or willingness in working harder than everyone else results in a hell of a lot more stress, anxiety, frustration, or whatever you want to call it than just putting in the fricking work in the first place. IMO, that's where we are at. We needed a program reset to bring in guys who want to forge their own thing, but I seriously question whether DeBoer has the hardass streak in him to keep the dipshits in line until he can filter them out and replace them with those guys before the whole thing collapses.

Tin-foil hat firmly in place??
I believe every team commits fouls on every down. Some are more obvious than others, but just about every play has a callable offense. I think for the last 3 or 4 years there has been a concerted effort, a propaganda campaign if you will, asserting that Bama always receives favorable calls. I think this widespread criticism has taken root inside the NCAA and that, when in the past refs would have not considered a foul worthy of a flag, they now have a hair-trigger and are itching to throw it. You can say, "the ref didn't see it." And I say, BULL CRAP. Even in that game with TN, even with the personal against Law, in the very least there should have been off-setting fouls called. I am convinced it is deliberate and that's why we have twice the penalties of our opponents.
Ok... ridicule... down-vote... whatever

This is correct.
The ignores the most obvious DPI just because they knew it would give us the first down. They ignore the taunt then the punch to Law's face.
It's quite obvious when we're always the most penalized regardless if Saban or KDB are coaching that it's the officiating

It's not just our penalties it is the lack of opponent's penalties.
For years under Saban we were last in the nation or in the bottom ten for opponent's penalties.

Bama Signed 27 players in the 2021 class and two transfers (total 29).
Out of that group 15 transferred.
7 still at Bama
4 left early for the NFL,
Nick and staff missed on way too many players since that 2020 group left the building.
2022 class 25 signed and 15 have transferred.

Two "missed" penalties on Tennessee could have changed the outcome of the game Saturday just as one "missed" block in the back call could have changed the outcome of the LSU game in 2022. Not even gonna mention the 2022 frickery in Noland Stadium.
But our fans are cucks who believe officials can't possibly frick us.

In 2016 and 2017 Alabama's opponents were the least penalized in all of college football. 128th out of 128 in 2016 and 130th out of 130 in 2017.

When you see that crew that called the Bama vs UT then you book it, we're about to get screwed. That nerd side judge on the Bama side is a turd, He must get paid a bonus by the infractions he calls.

Bama needs to blame themselves, not try to shift the blame to others. Personal responsibility. Do your job, Quit trash talking, dancing in the endzone, no self discipline PENALITIES is concentration on doing the RIGHT thing. Unsportsmanlike penalties is becoming the common thing. Blaming others for your mistakes is unacceptable. Want to find blame, blame yourselves for your failures. Pass, block, run, catch.

Why cannot BOTH THINGS be true? My point - AND - your point are not mutually exclusive

It's not unique to BAMA, it's unique to BAMA fans because of Saban. It could be worse. Look at FSU.
Social media, COVIDs, transfer portal, national recruiting, lower standards for societal conduct in general and, finally NIL, have gotten us here. There is little school pride or loyalty. CFB is now basically NFL lite.
