Not being negative. Need a to be addressed if we are going to make the playoffs. Talent is there. What is the issue.

Yep. If this was against a great offense like OM, TN LSU I would say its players but Bama has far more talented players than Vanderbilt so this is coaching and coaching period.

You can’t run a conservative 3-3-5 defense against a run-biased SEC offense with a good QB.

Yup. That's the takeaway from today. You'd think from his personality that he'd be an aggressive coordinator dialing up pressure constantly, but the defense looks as soft as Golding's used to.
It looks like complete shite, and a lot of it has been covered up by timely turnovers, but this defense has been pushed around all season.

horseshite. Uga didn't push anything around for 3 qtrs. Offense didn't help the D at all.
For some reason Wommack didn't think it was necessary to blitz today. Not sure why.
Vandy just played a perfect game. It doesn't happen often. It was actually something to behold.
There isn't a football program I'd trade places with right now. Not even one. Not tejas, not uga, not tenner, not ohiost and defintely not usc.
BAMA is going to skullfrick usc next week.

I haven’t went into the fourth quarter of game since Shula thinking this defense can’t stop them and we haven’t changed anything to make me think they will.

I feel like the entire front 7 just stands up when the ball is snapped and waits. There’s no penetration. There’s no attacking (especially for what’s supposed to be a “swarm D”). There’s no attempt to push the OL off the LOS.

That’s just not true. 22 was in the backfield all game. He just couldn’t make a tackle.

I guess I’m thinking more about their run plays with their running backs. We were gashed frequently and on those plays it seemed like we were just standing and waiting.

I felt that way last week against UGA in the 4th qtr. We have games like that under Saban.

Yep. Just need to change to a scheme that isn't a callback to the mid 10s Big 12, learn how to tackle, replace Campbell and Lawson with real linebackers, and stop committing idiotic penalties to extend drives and we're cooking.
