Who is the best QB in the SEC?

The SEC is loaded with great QBs this season. Beck, Dart, Ewers, and Nico all 4 stand out. Dart and Nico have especially been impressive. Does anyone else deserve a mention?

I thought Nico was just okay against NCSU. Not even just talking about the interceptions. He had a few incompletions that were pretty far off base. Thus far, it's a toss-up between Dart, Ewers, and Beck. It's hard to play much better than Dart and Beck have thus far.

Yards:
1. Jaxson Dart, MISS
2. Taylen Green, ARK
3. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
4. Nico Iamaleava, TENN
5. Carson Beck, UGA
TDs
1. G. Nussmeier, LSU
2. C. Beck, UGA
3(TIE). J. Dart, MISS
J. Arnold, OU
Q. Ewers, TEX
Completion %
1. J. Dart, MISS
2. D. Pavia, VAN
3. G. Nussmeier, LSU
4. N. Iamaleava, TENN
5. B. Cook, MIZ
Seems Dart & Nussmeier only 2 on all three lists. And both are top three on all three lists.
Strength of schedule up to this point should probably come into play as well, since it is so early in the season. Let's check back in 3 weeks and that'll be more statistically representative of the best in the league.

OM needs to face some better defenses before you crown Dart.

Even though I’m beginning to think he was carried a bit last year with his weapons, you have to go with Beck until proven otherwise.

I'm most impressed by Beck's coolness but I am still undecided on how much of his success is him or the team around him.

Time will tell.
Right now Beck and Ewers have both played elite defenses. Beck is passing at 70.7%, 9 yards per attempt, 7 TD and 0 INT. Ewers is passing at 69.8%, 8 yards per attempt, 6 TD and 1 INT. I'd say they're #1 and #2 in that order.
NCSU has a pretty good defense. Nico is next at 74.5%, 9.7 yards per attempt, 5 TD and 2 INT.
Dart is 4th amongst those guys because he hasn't really been tested yet. The numbers are sick though. 87% completion, 14.7 yards per attempt, 6 TD, 0 INT.

Ewers and it’s not close.
Nico has a chance to be in the conversation pending the elite defenses he will face.

Ehhh maybe. We'll see where Michigan is at the end of the year.

quote:Fair, but I'm done betting against Ewers. Wasn't his biggest fan in the past. But, it's been a long time since a UT QB has grown up and developed like he has. Pretty cool to watch.

Beck has a body of work that Nico does not. That should automatically and objectively put him ahead of Nico this early. Not even trying to troll the Tenners.
As far as Dart and Ewers, I think Beck and them are probably 1A,B,C at this point in the season.
Ewers has a decent win over Mich, Beck has a decent win over Clemson. Not sure what Dart has proven this season but like Beck, he's got a large body of work from last season, as does Ewers.

What elite defense has Beck faced?

You better let Clemson's season play out before laughing at them. Remember, they held us to 6 points in the first half.

The jury is still out on Green, but he’s playing pretty well right now.

The fact you could not score on them does not make them elite.
I attribute that first half to UGA working out the kinks and shaking the rust off. Once y'all got in a rhythm it wasn't a problem to roll on that defense.

I got Dart as my number one. So annoying to play. He’s the definition of take what the defense gives you. And Kiffin is willing to run the same play 3 to 4 times in a row if you can’t stop it. And when you got him struggling, he starts using his legs.
With that said, I think Dart is an elite college football QB, I don’t know how he will translate to the next level. And he consistently beats out guys like transfers Spencer Sanders and 5 star Howard for the job.

I'll hold my opinion until he gets his second crack at Georgia's defense. If he vastly improves over last seasons performance, then he's definitely high on the list.

Dart impresses me by not forcing things.
Ohio State made a huge mistake letting Ewers getaway.
