Florida should be the 1984 SEC champs.

Florida goes 11-0 if starting QB Dale Dorminey does not get hurt days before the first game and is out for the season.
Going back and trying to change the past is stupid, wrong and unbiblical.
Shocking that school presidents from places like LSU, Georgia and Tennessee voted against Florida and stained the 1984 season.
No wonder Spurrier hates Georgia and Tennessee so bad.

He hates Georgia for Georgia beating his arse 2/3 times he played for Florida, including his Heisman year.
And Spurrier was coaching in the pros in 1984.

1985 too.
Only Bama, Mississippi State and Auburn stood with us in the '84 vote.
The rest were punk biotches.

Bruh, I think that was the season that it was revealed that UF had committed an astounding 107 NCAA infractions. These violations were all known before the 1984 season had even started, so they should never have even been eligible for the SEC title to begin with. Honestly, with 107 infractions, they were lucky that they weren't given the death penalty - LSU recently committed just 3 violations (very similar to Auburn's recruiting of Cam Newton, which earned AU no NCAA penalty to speak of) and LSU still had to vacate 5% of their all-time win total, sit out a bowl game, pay fines, shrink their football budget, lose scholarships, and be placed on probation for 3 years.

No it was a 6-4 vote, but I don't remember who voted for us keeping it.

They may have been had they not cheated and got caught. Yes, everyone was doing it, poor Florida was picked on, I get it, any Florida fan will whine about it ad nauseum if you'll listen...but the fact is Florida was simply not as good as other programs in the era.....at cheating. If it was as much a part of the game as UF fans will have you believe they only have their program to blame for not being as good as others were at doing it. Either way Florida was behind their competition, either at not cheating or at cheating.

No matter how badly the old ball sack wants to get revenge over the 1966 game it happened, UGA has a double digit lead in the series all time and Florida will forever be less of a football program than UGA.
That and Tim Tebow is a crying count. Thats right, I said it!

If not for a shitty afternoon in Annapolis the Gamecocks very well could have been 84 national champs

It was a outlaw program with 59 violations.

The NCAA also told Florida if they would come clean they would go lightly. Florida did and still got hammered.

quote:Outlaw program? Give me a break. 100+ violations and all of them were garbage. All schools had players selling their tickets. You know why? They didn’t have money to buy a Big Mac. CFB in those days were players that were indentured servants. We worked for food, shelter and hopefully an education. I couldn’t get a job, really didn’t have time for one but imagine walking around campus with out a dime in your pocket. Imagine taking a girl on a date and have her pay the bill. You’re the BMOC and you are flat broke. Imagine only having ONE place to eat. You can’t just go to any restaurant. You ate in one place breakfast, lunch and dinner. That gets boring in one week. Try doing it for years.

The NCAA is one of the most corrupt organizations. They protected who they wanted to and went after whoever they wanted. Made, mob men running a cash cow. Those violations are laughable today.

His mathing skills were not mathing properly. 3+ Florida does equal 4
Then I realized, it was a reading math problem.
