First and goal on the 6 and couldn’t score a td after the Yeldon fumble
Then you let a running back drive down and tie it, then same running back throws fade to win it
How the frick LSU didn’t win this one I’ll never know, but it gets forgotten about amongst all the close games

The way LSU lost the 2008, 2012, and 2014 Alabama games was absolutely gut wrenching. It was fricking exhausting
all that to say 21-0 was in between the years.
The 2013 lsu team also had a much better shot if cam cameron was practicing what he currently is and should have always been doing: real estate in California

Alabama fans will be reminiscing about the good ole days for years to come.

Les Miles was actually a really great coach (until he wasn’t) and unfortunately will only be remembered by 21-0 and games like this his last few seasons. The Auburn game that got him fired was absurd. Then there were the Kansas State years and he was toast. He’ll likely be a Hall of Famer if his lawsuit goes his way.
It’s never pretty when a really successful coach (Les’s winning percentage was #1 in LSU history if I’m not mistaken) goes out with a whimper like that. It’s the same kind of feeling you get when you realize Saban’s last “championship” was one that no one outside of Tuscaloosa acknowledges or remembers.
Love Saban or hate him, he really didn’t deserve to go out that way. I wouldn’t wish that on any coach. In hindsight he probably feels he should’ve retired in 2018, but who could’ve known the future at that point.

No way I can purge that from my memory.

Does anyone have a gif of Blake Sims jumping up, not forward, on 4th and 1.
That's the only memory of him which speaks highly of him and Lane considering he passed for like 3500 yards one season

Like LSU since 2019?

is that the year we had the bal and got backed up by a bullshite flag?

Yes, the flag was awful, just standard pile pushing.
But trying to get cute with the corner kickoff instead of just blasting it, and not challenging the trap catch… awful coaching.

Everyone here knows the refs were at fault simply because it was a LSU game.

My father in law was at his hunting camp that night and they were watching the game and after Yeldons fumble one of the dudes there said “frick this I’m going to bed” they got up the next morning and he was bitching about Alabama fumbling and blowing the game. They let him rant for awhile and then finally told him. He didn’t believe them and finally checked his phone

Like I said, while it was a bad flag there was more self-inflicted nonsense.
The 2014 team was super inconsistent and not championship material… 2012 is the one I’m still not over. We were the best team in the country.

I haven’t forgotten but what I do notice is that I rarely if ever rewatch games from 2008-2016. Even games we won and even dominate are hard to watch. The offense was so outdated and predictable. Quarterbacks outside of Mett was terrible and they regressed from year to year. Even though we won a lot of games it just felt like we were capable of so much more.
