For the normal fan…this rejuvenates their fandom for basketball.
Let’s admit it, those of us on this board are a little more into things than the normal run of the mill fan…I dunno how many texts I woke up to this morning from folks asking, “Is this real” “Are you shitting me” type of texts.
All they know is normal, everyday life and they’ve been in the dumps for about 3-4 days. But now, they’re excited as hell.
I admit…I’ve hated Cal since his days at UMass…but I guess I’ll like him now.

I know how you guys like sauces but I got word on Thursday that we had a coach. Considering the info coming out about Tyson it seems Cal was the target all along…the rest was all fluff

Eh, I’m inclined to believe it’s more analogous to the Petrino hiring in 2007 wherein we got spurned by Grove, Tuberville and Bowden and Petrino fell to us through providential circumstances.
The likeliest scenario is that we targeted and negotiated with Beard and Tang and both leveraged us for money and additional guarantees from their school, and Yurachek was left holding his dick in his hands and got thrown a lifeline by Johnny Tyson.

Ive hated Cal since i was a kid but all is forgiven at the moment.
His hiring does more for the program than any coach in history. Just turn on a sports program today and see what they talk about.
I suspect they will do an interview with him during the national championship tonight as well.
Then throw in recruiting. Watch how fast this roster is rebuilt. We will get a good mix of freshman and portal experience.

I would think I interest could be there for Mark, devo, and blocker for their defensive ability as well.

Eh...maybe Blocker...having watch a number of Cal teams over the years, Mark doesnt really fit in to a Cal offense.
