Also Arkansas actually paying it's basketball coach more than football as it should with the expectations and path to winning.

Yeah it's like we had a staff in place who actually recruited all year now, since he supposedly says his class comes with him.

And he gets to pick and choose from the roster that remains in the portal, they cant come back on their own.

Cal had a retirement plan at Kentucky, he didn't have to leave, they weren't going to fire him this year or next.

This is why I feel pretty good about it. If he was ready to be done, he would have stayed and made them fire him. I think it was time for both parties to move on and we will get a more motivated version of him.

Sutton made a final four after Kentucky.

BCG found his place in JUCO

Tubby had respectable programs after Kentucky.

Kentucky being tired of a coach speaks more about Kentucky than what the coaches had left in the tank.

He only has 4 of the top 25 players committed. I guess we could take them. Not sure if we have the room with all that talent Muss left.

said it’s a solid hire just not home run hire. Outside of beard, Oates or Hurley I’d say this is about as good as it gets

You think Oats was an option?

The Arkansas basketball job brings a lot of pressure for good reasons but the Kentucky job is like being in a pressure cooker. That is what happens in a one sport school.

Compared to the very real Janz scenario, at least we get to see world class talent fail to make to the second weekend of the tourney instead of sweating bullets hoping to be one of the first four teams.

John Calipari is on the move, leaving Kentucky for Arkansas.

Having a top-funded NIL collective cannot be overlooked. A source told
@On3sports that Calipari will have "at least" $5 million at his disposal annually with the Razorbacks.

Jeeeesus at least 5M a year NIL?

Arkansas barely made it to the second weekend with NBA talent a couple of years ago.

Borderline insane for Arkansas to even make that phone call. Unthinkable they convinced him to make the jump. The Hogs put their nuts on the table and made it clear they’ll be eating with the big dawgs in the NIL era. Schools with resources are gonna start to separate themselves.
