How has a highly skilled female basketball player that most people have never heard of or seen (seriously, who watches women's basketball at all) "turned the game on its head"?

She showed that girls can compete with girls? Cool. Did anyone ask that question? Other than that, she has never competed with men on a level playing field. Please don't use that sham of a 3 point contest as your proof source. They didn't use the same size ball and their lines were not the same.

If we go back 50 years, my starting 5 would be:

Kareem Abdul-Jabaar C
Rick Barry F
Bob McAdoo F
Walt Frazier G
Pete Maravich G

They would name their score against any women’s team you could ever come up with. The number of blocked shots and dunks would be ridiculous. They would mercy rule it quickly so it didn’t end up 164-20. And 20 points may be charitable.

No. Women's game is just different. Cool the highest scoring college player was a woman though

Ridiculous question. What a waste of time and bandwidth. A more realistic question would be can pro women compete with high school men? Against the best, no. Against the average and below, maybe.

Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Wilt Chamberlain, and Bill Russell said hello.

EDIT: ...and don't forget Dr. J - Julius Erving.

No it hasn’t. She is a phenomenal female athlete against other female athletes. That’s it. 5 Caitlin Clark’s would lose badly to any men’s college basketball team at any level
