OU owns the football record for wins in a row at 47. I can’t see that record ever broken. Amazing feat.
Yall can blame Bama for this, only thing that stopped Georgia from breaking it was losing to Bama twice

Both records are impressive.
Prepare to come down to earth playing in a real conference week in and week out. Ask Arkansas and TAMU about the success they had before joining and how hard it is in the SEC

Sometimes when I can’t sleep at night I you tube a women’s softball game and bam! I fall back to sleep almost immediately. The only thing more boring than that is the Oklahoma landscape and lifestyle.

A lot of haters out but I will say this, it is unlikely that any CFB team breaks that record. It is much tougher than people think.
How would you or any UGA fans know?

Do you think either of those records ever happen in the SEC?
The big 12 has had some pretty good other teams that OU needed to beat, so also probably.
The amount of fanbases that get on their knees for this conference is staggering

Oh the irony. You are litterally doing just that with the bigxii.

Just what we need around here, another homer.

Oklahoma softball won't lose this year.

If last year was any indication, I was said yes for softball.

Women's sports no one cares, go make a sandwich.

This post makes no sense. Every poster here is a homer. They brag anytime their school does something. Heck, quite a few brag when other SEC schools do something.
It’s a rare posting board full of all schools posters. Instead of just having your own school board echo chamber this one has it all. I think it’s kinda cool to be honest.
At least we bring tradition and hardware and a long history of winning and competing. And the deal was done long ago, 1 July is fast approaching. Can’t wait.
I look forward to it. Games in all sports will be harder but they will be funner. The venues are such a step up from what we had in B12. That will help improve our own. Like baseball, our field is lacking compared to SEC but my guess is the moving will help speed up any upgrades.
The football game-day atmospheres will be an instant upgrade over B12. Fans will meet many new fans at tailgates, both ways. Everyone I talk to says how much they look forward to going go new SEC venues. That will ramp up already great game-day experiences at all games.
So of course I’m a homer, just like every poster here. I’m not scared of more competition that always makes you better even if you fall down more often. The SEC will be the defacto best conf in the country and I’m glad to be joining it. I will never chant SEC though, just like I never chanted B12 or B8 and so on. I chant Boomer Sooner.
OU is a big part of college sports and its history.

You're boasting about football from 80 yrs ago, when only white boys could play, and girl's softball ?
Good lord. I knew Oklahoma football was mostly irrelevant now, but I didn't realize it was this bad.

I think they will lose. Tx has a great team and those games will be tough. And maybe someone else during an off day.

Well if that era of football doesn't count, for some illogical reason, you should delete your own history from that era and everything you claim you accomplished because it was just white boys after all...

I'm surprised you aren't touting quiddich.

Arky and 8&4 never have and never will be in the same caliber of prestige as Oklahoma. Might sound pompous, but sorry, they are not on Oklahoma’s level.

I wouldn't delete history same as OU, OSU, Michigan or anybody else wouldn't delete history, but I have said for years, even on this forum I am sure, that I would be fine with starting national title records at about 1970, when nearly all teams were integrated.
The difference is you have started an entire thread about games that all white teams played 80 yrs ago or whatever, AND girl's softball.
Just sad.
Posted on 2/18/24 at 9:55 am to BLG
If we start at 1970 then OU has 4 national championship which is the same amount of championships both LSU and Georgia have total.
Posted on 2/18/24 at 9:57 am to BLG
Just because all the players were white at one point in history doesn't negate what they accomplished. It was a level playing field back then as well. Your idea is utter nonsense.
