Laughable horseshite. You obviously haven't "studied" a damn thing and your opinion of the SEC is slanted with recency bias. When I was growing up, "muh SEC" wasn't a thing and you never heard about them as a conference.
The media was mostly enamored with B10 and PAC during that time and then in the 90s, it was all about the ACC.

In the 1971 NCAA University Division football season, Big Eight teams finished ranked #1 (Nebraska), #2 (Oklahoma) and #3 (Colorado) in the nation in the AP Poll – the only time in college football history teams from one conference have held the top three spots in the final poll.
In the final AP Poll issued before the Big Eight became the Big 12, half of the conference's teams were ranked in the nation's top 10 (#1 Nebraska, #5 Colorado, #7 Kansas State, #9 Kansas).

I don't know about that but according to this source the SEC has winning record vs every other conference except, strangely enough, The Big East.

Yeah and they only played 10 or 11 games a season back then.
Georgia was at 29. That means that they would have had to win that one, the 2 playoff games.. That would have put them at 32. They would still have to go undefeated again just to tie it.

This website LINK seems to prove the poster's point that The Big 8 was mostly a 2 team conference.
eta I think the point is that winning 41 or however many in The Big 8 would have been much easier than winning in the SEC.

A week or two ago LSU posters were bragging they get 12k and tailgating for women's gymnastics. And thats great, sports comes in many ways. I like college sports more than pro sports.
This might trigger you but OU women gymnastics beat an SEC team last night (#16 Arky) along with the #2 team. OU competes in many sports like golf too. And we do well in all sports which only adds to SEC once July rolls around.
Going to SEC will require OU to beef up some facilities as well like baseball. And might push some SEC to upgrade facilities like softball and other venues. OU is opening a new softball field on 1 Mar holding 4,200 fans. Both sides will need to up their venue game depending on the sport. Thats good for fans of whatever sport you like to follow.
Women's sports are growing in college. If not mistaken LSU won women's basketball title last year and had quite of few posts during that run.
Football is always going to be king of college sports but its cool there are many others as well.

No it confirms that OU and Nebraska were the two most dominant teams in the BIG 8 historically, which is true, in spite of whether the other teams were good or not. Other teams rose and fell off historically like they do in every conference. Just because the other teams didn't win the league championship as much doesn't mean they sucked.
Colorado, Kansas, and Missouri were the usual culprits prior to Snyder arriving at KSU, and that link clearly shows that.

That doesn't say the BIG 8 was inferior to the SEC or anybody else. The BIG 8 and the SEC never really played outside of a bowl game every once in a while, genius.

I was alive during the BIG 8 (which is what we're talking about). I don't recall much, if any, BIG 8 vs SEC matchups and we certainly don't have any extensive history playing SEC teams. Were you alive back then?

LSU was 7-8-1 vs the Big 8, including 0-5-1 vs Nebraska. Half of those games were during the regular season.
