ahhhh... think I'm hearing ya a little better now..
this conference is wild... incredible players, coaches, rivalries, fans, etc. playing in the SEC is difficult & requires an unbelievable amount of hard work/preparation - having a "really good season" will require luck & good fortune to go along with the hard work/preparation .. hard to explain to folks that are unfamiliar with it, but after grinding through a few seasons it becomes obvious how competitive this conference is. there will be stunning upsets & numerous "close calls.".... probably be wise for any newbies thinking the SEC is "like any other conference" to lace'em up tight, buckle up & hold the frick on - gonna be a bumpy ride.
regardless, oklahoma/texas are strong new members and it'll be fun to watch y'all settle in & put down roots. welcome aboard

Well hopefully there will be a little bit less whining about this thread as Mississippi State is up next to try and break OU's softball winning streak.

Sorry, my post certainly wasn't directed at yours. Mine just happened to follow yours. I agree with everything you said.
My post was directed at the "nobody cares about softball/"who gives a shite about girl's sports"/"OU isn't in the SEC so why should we care" type of posts.
To be honest, MSU is an excellent program directed by an OU alum. They could do it.
And as far as the streak itself goes. Nobody thought anybody would ever break Arizona's streak. It was a couple of decades old. OU has obliterated that streak.
It will be a monumental victory for whatever team and school breaks this streak... despite what the poo-pooing Ranters say.

I mentioned before they would not go undefeated this year. And they earned this loss with so many mistakes in fielding and base running. Won’t be their only loss either. I sensed some over emotions from the game on Friday, I think the opening of new stadium caught up to them emotions wise.

Thanks to a roster full of players from Texas. I really wish blowU and Okie Lite would trade locations. As it is now Norman is closer to the DFW area and far north Texas (Denton) than they are to Austin.
