Bengals could really use an upgrade at TE. No way he'll be on the board at 18 though

You're thinking of Bowers.

McConkey is a WR,

Him in a McVay offense would be pretty damn lethal. McVay can scheme these shifty WRs like no one else.

In terms of actual style of play and body type, Antonio Brown is the best comp for Ladd

Rumor is that his folks were big fans of Big Ernie.

I’ve yet to hear him be compared to a great black receiver. It’s hilarious.

He would be a killer for the Chiefs though.

Ladd McConkey's "best comp" is not one of the best wide receivers, route runners, and yac guys, while at the same time being an elite possession receiver, of the last 20 years. Stop.

He was an average receiver in college. He'll be a below average receiver in the NFL.

He was Georgias 4th leading receiver this year. He ranked #242 in receiving yards. He had less than 500 yds. That doesn’t scream all pro.

Nah, he's more like Robert Woods.

It’s pretty much a given that a white WR in the NFL has intangibles. White people typically don’t have the physical gifts to still be elite at a position like WR in spite of being a piece of shite. They need the mental edge.

A taller Cooper Kupp?

Cooper Kupp is 6’2 208. He’s bigger than McConkey

I know it is a shocker to Bama fans that a team can continue to win while their best two receiving targets are hurt.

Then one day UGA dropped a scholarship offer on him. He committed instantly. Then Vanderbilt took notice and offered him. And I think a couple other P5's started to offer.

Kirby used to say that when he would watch video of some of the defensive players that Georgia was looking at, there was an offensive receiver that consistently showed up on the videos who was able to beat some of the best DB talent in Georgia.

McConkey played several positions, including some QB, so he wasn't an obvious stand out at any one skill set.

During the Orange Bowl game he was set up to throw a pass to Cash Jones and was forced to scramble. He ran the entire width of the field and punched it in for a TD. McConkey is simply hard to square up.

I’d compare his capabilities to Wes Welker.

Shorter, white, solid hands, great routes, deceptive acceleration and a team player.

If he gets a good QB, he could get to Welker levels IMO
