Now that spring rosters are just about set & coaching carousel has slowed down, time for some off-season rankings. Here’s my take until next portal window…

We aren't a top 3 team definitely by any means but we're in the conversation. However I think that we finish top 3 in the SEC due to our schedule. We catch Ole Miss, Bama, and OU at Home. Road games are rebuilding Aggie, Florida, Arkansas, and South Carolina. That's literally as manageable as it can get with realignment.
Ole Miss goes to LSU and has Georgia.
Alabama goes to LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and has Georgia.

LSU & OU have 1st starters at QB with little to no experience. OU will have 5 new starters on the Oline. Texas & OU will be playing in the SEC for the 1st time..they really don't understand they're no IA ST , TX Tech, or Kansas like teams in the SEC other than Vandy..I expect them in the 8/9 win category beating a big boy, but losing to a mid they're favored against cause it's really different here. Bama has a new head coach..although a proven winner..I expect them to slip slightly. LSU has 2 new coordinators..again..adjusting to staff..crazy schedule..new QB..
My top 6 in order of finish are

I think there’s a solid chance LSU takes the tinniest step back this coming season. But there is more that goes into it than just that, as you pointed out. I can definitely see you being correct.
