Perhaps I was generalizing everything post Spurrier..sans Urban's run. From Zook to Muschamp, McElwain, Mullins, to Billy.
I was unaware of the current sell out streak. But, every time the gator's season begins to wobble over the years..every newspaper, column, talk radio, podcast, or UF pundit or outlet is out for blood, wanting assistants fired and replaced, and letting it be known that whomever the coach is...they are lucky to be at Florida, the epicenter of football recruiting and a coaches hat ( yes...a visor) & whistle could & should win 10 games there. You guys do in fact create a pressure cooker, and more often than not in the last 2 decades have a had a season where the coach is on the hot seat...in perpetuity. It's not conducive to building a coaching legacy..I mean Spurrier did leave via an NFL challenge escape hatch...Urban's health couldn't take the heat in the kitchen. You need an alum & admin that block our the noise, and forge ahead with the program and its routinely top 10 hardest schedule.
Fair point, solid observation...but..one of the things that helped end Franklin's tenure at Penn St, was the fact, that Franklin wasn't a big portal guy..not like Dabo...but they didn't do much..were slow to keep their own guys, and Franklin was on record as having a general malaise towards the portal. Franklin will have to adjust wherever his next job is. Here is the tidbit most Mizzou fans can't quite grasp....Eli has not fully built Mizzou into a top 5-9 SEC contender yet..he's made great strides, beat the teams he should..but missed a recruit here and there, a missed a game here and there. Say what you will about Franklin, but he IS A BUILDER! The right GM, and an embrace of the portal to mesh with his message and he will contend for titles.
I don't think he is going to Florida, and really believe he was talking to the Mizzou Nation on this one excerpt. For Mizzou fans, it seemed like playoffs or bust for this year, and Drink did the heavy lifting in the portal to get 4 of the best guys to fill 4 spots...yet whiffed on a left tackle, & Pribulea is a solid qb with another year, didn't really play like a "gamer" his 1st year starting. All that to say, Drink fielded a competive team, with an ideal schedule and a top 10 defense, an average SEC oline, and a couple of running backs who just need some daylight. But lost, competitive games to Bama & Vandy...& aTm spanked us. We the fans wanted the playoffs, and victories over Bama, & Georgia. While I'm happy for Vandy, if a court had ruled that Pavia eligibility was indeed gone (like it is), we'd of beat them too.

Drink was kinda being a doctor for the fan base, and walking others back from the ledge. I didn't exactly like how it sounded, but I get it.

But I disagree, after living down here for 2+ decades, there is no reasoning with Florida fans..8-4 sucks to them, 9-3 is meh, and they stop showing up after 2 losses. They burn through coaches, and have a motley crue of boosters with different agendas, and different ways and means to aquire players. Their NIL needs work too..

I think he stays at Mizzou, and does his best work in the portal this year, with 4 SEC schools with coaching vacancies, possibly more if Lane or Shane leave.
Didn't know that misery had a name for the field/stadium....thought it was a rock quarry yall leased on some staurdays.

On pure semantics, someone who has a stadium with "Gay lord" in the title...should probably sit this thread out..

Not really, the kid is a legacy, and there is a VERY real chance, we start fall camp next year with Zollars as starter, Pribulea moved on, Sidewar as a back up, and a walk on as 3rd string. I assume we try to get a transfer qb with some experience, but who wants to come sit? By taking a local development qb, you would at least have another camp arm...and he can red shirt and learn as well. Might simply be a numbers game for the roster...who knows...but Mizzou needs to scout for every scenario.
I am proud of the the Aggies for finally putting it all together through 8 games, they've won shootouts, convincingly at times, and rock fights. They've found ways to win, instead of lose. Good folks, spent a spring break decades ago with a bunch in South Padre, & aTm produced two of the finest officers I ever met in the Corps. Of course I hope we best them this Saturday, but no matter the outcome, I hope they kick the ever living you what out of texa$$ at season's end.
They just need to focus this team, coach, program. They are an ankle sprain, or pulled hammy from a key player to ending the season 7-5, looking 3 straight..and the Peace Pipe (again²).
From what I can tell, from. Board surfing...they do like him..kinda..he just seems to McElwainian...and that light saber stuff with Mullin didn't sit right...
I would say the team with the DT that kisses other men. That woukd be my vote.

Say what?
Pre-game tell the team how mizzou won a co-conference championship once before their grandparents were born. I’m sure that will inspire them. Who knows perhaps another moral victory

Nothing like hearing some yahoo who won by buying players talking smack on the conference members who didn't. News flash, ½ your underclassmen are headed out the door in the portal, the word is out...and you nimrods will still send them death threats, thus dulling your shine to future recruits even more. Don't you worry about our motivation..you need figure out on how to deal with a 7-5 season...so back to fondling yourself with Joe Mixon knockout videos and pray for mercy on the 22nd. Pray some other school doesn't take Arbuckle as well..cause word is Tulane already has an agreement.

Where is this picture from? Where is he tonight?
The SECr told me that Frank showed BK his dick, and it was so enormous that BK knocked a kid off of a scissor lift to his death which led to LSU stealing money from dying children to pay restitution

JFC...it's 9AM...switch to sativa..
Funny you bring this up. When the SEC announced texa$$ & OU joined, a mot of Mizzou & AM fans rolled our eyes...(the rest of the SEC, sans OU really deep down have no idea how shady & greedy the whorls are, but you will). An old timer brought up the point in reflecting back on the formation of the BIGXII, that we should have asked Frank Broyles and Arkansas to leave or if they were interested in coming into the BIGXII instead of Baylor. They joined the SEC in 92, and might have been the best thing for all involved. Arky had Nolan rollin on the hardwood, it would have kept Arky recruiting well in Texas, it would have limited ut influence, cause TTech & Baylor fetched their water. Border rivalries would have developed, and Broyles would have been there to warn us of the whorns true intentions. All state schools, no private or city campuses. It would have added 3½ million in population..so an increased TV market would not have occurred, but it would have significantly, in hindsight been better for the BIG 8 original members. It would have never won H2H for ratings vs SEC or B1G, but it would have been solid. Instead, we had texa$$ demand this and that, and move offices and officiating, then reniging on TV deals or revenue sharing..and poof Nebraska..then Colorado gone..with TC fnU coming in.. sad what could have been ..with a little vision. That said, the SEC has been a dream, with our football surprisingly good ( minus an unforseen civil social unrest heaped upon us by BLM, wasting about 5-6 years) in football, and terrible in BBall...which is the exact opposite of what everyone thought would happen (TBH, me included).
Up until NIL leveled the field, we were always behind because we didn't cheat..(we either didn't, or weren't good at it if we did.) Since then, we've trended towards above competive. Hopefully the future is brighter, but someone told me earlier this year, that our best seasons have been A- results with B- rosters under Drink...and that sums it up..a stud QB can solve most of our problems..just like most other perennial Top 10 teams
I have nothing but love for LSU and the crazy fans..but Sheesh...those 3 are so tone deaf on reality..and that Governor?? Icing on the cake..so I ask..of those 3..who embarrasses you the most right now?
$ome dont see it.

Francly, that's the Fr€nch in them, for better or wor$e. ¯\_(?)_/¯
