Love this thread.
In 1989 I was a student at LSU and working as stage manager (glorfied title for gopher) for Tigervision, the LSU pay-per-view in house network.
Alabama was in town and about an hour before tip, this skinny 6'9" kid from Bama comes out and starts shooting. I'm sitting on the Bama bench just watching this kid light it up from all over the court. After about 15 mins he grabs a seat on the bench and laces up his shoes and by this time some other players have come out. As he is sitting on the bench, a teammate feeds him the ball, he dribbles it around his legs a few times and launches a perfect rainbow into the hoop. While seated. He does it three times in a row. I had never seen a kid that tall so smooth with the ball with such absolute perfect form.
Chris Jackson was tearing it up as a freshman and was the talk of college basketball and Big Game Bob was only a freshman, and he didn't do much that afternoon, but that 15 mins convinced me to follow his entire career.

For as big as he was, it was incredible what he could do on the court.

Great thread. A reminder of how fast time goes by. I’m 45 and these pics remind me of a time where we would go to my aunts house off seigan lane because they had tiger vision and cable. lol. So much fun playing football in the backyard until the game came on. Smell of delicious foods cooking and me and the boys sneaking beers. Nostalgia overload.
