The Chin is heading to Columbus to aid Day in wrecking shite.

Ohio State has named Bill O'Brien as its new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, the school announced Friday. O'Brien, who coached Penn State for two years following the firing of longtime coach Joe Paterno, served as offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots this season.

Not the worst hire I can think of but Ohio State should be able to do better than Bill O'Brien

We now know where Milroe isn’t going.

I actually don't like the guy, but his offenses at Bama were 40+ PPG both years and they had limited run game options in 2021 and limited pass games options in 2022

Day has basically been trying to adapt and not call plays and do all the work on offense. BoB brings a lot of experience and can give a new perspective.

Again I'm not super pumped, but he's taking the spot of Urban's son in law who has no experience, so it's certainly an upgrade overall inside the staff

Hopefully Alabama can convince RB’s who are at OSU or planning on going to OSU to come to Tuscaloosa because BoB doesn’t believe in using running backs.

BoB had Bryce for 2 years and the offense got worse

Who were his WR options in 2022? Legit question who was a good WR on that team?

Bama still had better RBs and WRs than 95% of the country both years.

And the results were top 10 both seasons. I know that didn't win Bama a title but the offenses weren't actually bad

Pretty sure Burton, Bond, and Niblack were on that team

Bama might be longing for the days of BoB very soon.

Are those good players?

They weren't good in 2023 either with WR production.

Burton wasn't bad at UGA his frosh year, but he hasn't been a top producer at Bama at all

Again, I don't love the hire on its face, but OSU has the right pieces to be effective

You must always remember that Bammer expectations aren't in line w/reality. Saban spoiled the current fan base so much that they are going to be ready to fire DeBoer if he so much as misses the 12 team playoff.

It’s truly amazing what being OC for Brady and not sucking at PSU did for his career.
