DeBoer is the one who developed him. So I'll take what he wants who is Grubb

That’s two years

2020: 56.5%, 1645, 14/4 (shoulder injury 2019)
2019: 69% comp, 1394 yards, 10/4

Combined 62%, 3000~, 24/8 over 12 games

Against eventual runner up Ohio State in 2020 he threw for 500 yards, 5 touchdowns and a pick

Again, Penix was a glass cannon that was throwing for 300+ yards against very good B1G defenses early in his career. He actually used to run more but he can’t after destroying his knees twice. Washington didn’t magically develop him, he was already good but just needed to stay healthy

Kodi Burns was just fired as the Saints WR Coach. If we didn’t have a WR coach that would have been an interesting angle if we looked at him.

I have to disagree with this. He was actually one of my favorite players to watch. Myself and another poster argued about him a good bit. That first year he was up against some weaker opponents, the only one worth mentioning was Michigan State but I'm not taking that away from him, he performed well. The second year as his numbers show he was lights out at times and struggled with accuracy and decision making at others, although I loved him and Fryfogle. 2021 was a dud obviously but I think he was hurt some. I think he played his best ball at Washington because he was back with DeBoer, who he had in 2019, and Grubb. I wouldn't consider him the finished product at Indiana by no means put tons of talent and potential.

Nothing against Grubb, but he didn’t have to coach Penix. Penix was already developed

Well, that's patently false. Penix was fun to watch at Indiana, but he was FAR from developed there.

quote:

I’d rather the guy who played quarterback and showed development with our QB’s be retained. Were already stuck paying him and he’s had double the experience in just a QB coach role as Grubb

Not to mention the fact that our new HC was also a QB position coach. Why do you think we need three QB coaches on the staff?

DeBoer definitely polished Penix. There is no doubt about it.

There's gotta be a better way to say this.

Interestingly, milroe had better stats this year than penix did in any year prior to Washington

I think he's going to be an off the field coach.

*I was wrong...he's going to be the Co-DC/Secondary Coach

Kenny Bell is hinting like it's anyway now for Brailsford.
