If deBoer is offered, he better take it. Otherwise, he is the next PJ Fleck or Matt Campbell stuck at ISU and Minnesota. They missed their window and one of their boats went over the waterfall. Jus’ sayin’.

He has to be really careful with this hire. I almost think it needs to be a big name. Sark, DeBoar. Big names.

Josh Pate is probably the most fair and reasonable guy there is talking about cfb. I completely believe there are multiple candidates who have been contacted, but are not being talked about on social media. Glenn Schumann is probably one of them.

Honestly, this is incredibly fun.

I agree and also thinking about the run we just had. It will never be repeated, and we are lucky Saban stayed as long as he did.

In the end someone will be hired. If they can keep the roster together we should be in the playoffs next season. But no matter what happens just remember how great it is to celebrate what Saban has done. RTR!!

I said this for years. He hired a nobody for Arizona women's basketball and it paid off.

That’s fair, I know a lot of people don’t like him, I kind of enjoy his stuff. I’m sure everyone has hot takes and spew them often to try to be the guy who told you first.

I generally like his stuff too. Particularly his takes and analysis. But this is him speculating and passing it on as facts. Just like everyone else is doing but the point is he’s no different when it comes to this whole hiring process

I just don’t understand why Lane is further down the list than at least Norvell and Lannng.

I agree on Glen, said it earlier and people seemed shocked. That dudes going to get a P5 job in the next year or so and there is a decent chance he is going to be very very good!

I notice that Sark has not come out and made a statement that he is staying at Texas. Is he still in the running?

I kind of get the feeling that we are going to get an experienced coach that hardly anyone expected to be a candidate. I know someone has to be named soon or we will see some of our kids start transferring without waiting to see who the new coach will be.

What I dont understand is why the Team was told at their meeting that we would have a HC in place within 72 hours if they didn't already know who it was going to be ?

Show me one candidate he doesn't represent. That dude is more powerful than Mark Emerett.

Yeah otherwise we risk losing a lot of players and recruits. We might lose some of these guys anyway but it would help

That’s really my concern. Losing actual starters.
