How long do we expect this process to take? I was in elementary school when Nick was hired. Geez this is terrible.

This report that coach was working on assistant coaches as late as this morning is really strange.
Maybe we aren't as far along on this search as we had hoped.

Yep but wednesday is the perfect day to do it.
If Byrne has prepped at all, he will hire within 72 hours and that will be announced NLT Friday. That gives the new coach and some of his staff all weekend to ease the minds of current and future players

No. He isn’t going to not do anything and bring doubt. His plan was to be the head coach until the moment he walked out.

They played together so it's understandable why he would support him. But yeah, Ryans is totally unproven. I don't understand why any coach who finishes above .500 in the NFL even once seems to be treated as a genius.

I don’t think you’re doing interviews for a job like this. You’re identifying a coach you know you want and asking him if he wants the job and if he does that’s it.
I’d imagine Byrne has been keeping a vetted list of candidates for a few years now.
