Hope this happens. Tired of ESPN/Disney and "the family" ruining CFB.

If it means less TV timeouts, I’m all for it.

“And Fox’s gambit to place its top games in the noon Saturday window, rather than in primetime, has proven to be a brilliant programming stroke”

Just what we need. fricking playoff games at 11am central. frick Fox.

Have y'all watched a broadcast on Fox lately? It's not all that great and pales in comparison to CBS and ESPN

There's also a much higher likelihood that a big game will kickoff at 11 a.m. due to their big noon shite, which is the worst.

FOX will broadcast this shite in 4K. ESPN will not. The choice seems easy.

Fox just doesn’t “feel like” college football. Seems like the talent is a bunch of East Coast & Cali NFL football guys trying to tap into the college vibe and aesthetic. Doesn’t work for me. It’s like Bronx-born, NBA fan Stephen A Smith trying to give hot takes on the CFP.

On one hand, I'm all for ESPN having less involvement over every single facet of CFB. On the other hand, I don't need Gus Johnson yelling stupid nicknames for 5 yard gains.

GOOD

I truly hope they manage to pull it off. With the mouse practically bleeding money these days there's no better time to strike. Gameday had it's glorious run, but the past couple years Big Noon Kickoff is more entertaining to watch in spite of Urbs being a part of it.

The overall quality of ESPN broadcasts has been on a downward trend and I don't see that changing anytime soon with management that seems hellbent on doubling down on the dumb.

I will take the other side of this just as a B1G fan overall.

There has been a lot of talk the last decade that ESPN being so involved with the playoff has helped the SEC more than other leagues, and when the B1G left ESPN completely, there are some who thought it really cost them spots in the rankings and coverage.

I have no idea if this is true but Fox being affiliated with certain leagues and not the SEC could be "bad" for the SEC in a way too. Just something to noodle on

Hell no to Fox College Football.

I do not want to hear Gus Johnson's annoying voice in SEC football games.

Honestly, we need all of them to get a piece of it not just one. It pushes them to be better and constantly improve if they have competition.

It also doesn’t allow any one to have sway on who gets in playoffs. I vote for a split contract just like NFL has
