Gotta land on first and Lane seems to be hoarding the portal.

Too bad there isn’t some way for another QB from another school who wants some playing time to come to Auburn and play next season. If only there was a way.

I would imagine any good qb likes the team he is playing for. There’s a reason why some go in the portal, kind of like what Thorne did.

It would seem to me that every position on that team is wide open!

Does Hugh think Walker White is going to White Knight him because he can’t seem to portal worth a damn! All those stud Freshman WRs gonna cash the YellowWood checks and portal next year!

Same goes for the position of "head coach" in another year or two.

The Barn's Head coaching job should be wide-open.

“I think our quarterback room is going to be fine next year," Freeze said. "That is my belief. It’s what drives me to get the right pieces around them. ... If you go take (a transfer quarterback) you're probably going to lose Payton, Holden (Geriner). You'd better be right. I believe in Payton. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but that's my belief.”

Hugh Freeze 10 days ago. Not a good look

You’re right. There’s never been a QB go into the transfer portal and find success at his new school.

And Auburn certainly has never had a successful QB that transferred in.

So in other words Auburn will have 3 five star freshman wideouts next year with no QB to get them the ball consistently.

We could have 2008 Tom Brady playing QB and it wouldn't matter behind this worthless O-line.

The problem wasn't Nix. The problem wasn't Finley. The problem wasn't Ashford. And the problem isn't Thorne. We can't pass block at all. It's a jailbreak every damn play. Having receivers that can create separation will help some but until we fix the OL it will be spit and glue improv from the skill positions.

Football is won or lost at the line of scrimmage. EVERYTHING revolves around that.

Amen!

As much as I like this WR class, I'd rather have 3 Five Star OL coming in.

What’s been the problem with ashford? Guy looks like he could be a superstar with some decent coaching.

I was sure he’d take a big jump with Freeze but it never really happened. He could run but wasn’t accurate.
It’s a subject of much discussion on the Auburn board.
He’s in the portal now
