Oh ffs whorn… I read the whole thread looking for what you’re asking for from the tejas slant. You may as well have written “BXII BXII BXII” or “Because I think so”. Listing off a bunch of position groups with opinion isn’t any more than what you’re so full of bluster about towards any other team’s fan.
Then one person gave a stat comparison of JM and QE… gets told stats are for losers when they’re awfully damn close…
In other words, frick off. All hat, no cattle.

3 days ago, everyone here was moaning about the SEC being down this year, and most here were in agreement that FSU got shafted.
I am not arguing the validity of either of those points, but today, UGA beats the living dogshit out of a team that was a shell of itself all season and all of a sudden the SEC is not only not down, and that not only do we deserve a team in the CFP, we deserve TWO teams.
And should Alabama lose to Michigan (they wont), the cycle will start all over again.
The SEC Rant in all its glory.

It's pretty ironic that I was sitting on a dreary September night drinking and cheering for Texas to beat Bama. Had that game not happened we would have lost to an undefeated team and probably gotten in
This is why we always cheer for the SEC in out of conference games.

Aight you long MoFo.
Who is better NOW:
Milroe >> Ewers
Bama DL = UTx OL
UTx DL = Bama OL
Bama secondary >> UTx WRs
Bama WRs >> UTx secondary
Bama RBs >> UTx RBs
I believe Bama is 3x the team they were in September and UTx is 1.5x what they were.
I hope we get to find out Jan 8.

Whether the conference is down or not can be debated many ways. To say Alabama or Texas weren’t deserving or hadn’t earned a spot at the table is disingenuous. It’s also disingenuous to say fsu didn’t earn a place. The argument shouldn’t be against either team, but against a system predetermined to leave a team off the table.
All of that said, a 12 team playoff WITH A COMMITTEE selecting, won’t solve anything, because it will remain opinion based.
Put the teams in conferences (ND included) let the conference championship be round 1, and then allow the champions to be seeded. Have 2 at large slots. Use the bowl games as a reward for a good season.

Texas definately did not deserve to be there. Georgia is two time defending champ and if anyone wins besides bama there should be an astrik. To be the best you have to beat the best wooooo... Bama is the only team tgat has beten them in the past 3 years
Posted on 12/31/23 at 6:51 am to swinetime
Hey dumbass, Stetson Bennet ain’t on the team anymore. He’s now probably in some rehab facility outside Dallas.
And if Alabama is now the best because they beat the best, then what does that make a team who beat Alabama?

There is no way that this easy of a schedule happened by accident.
By the way, a&m doesn’t play any of Georgia, Alabama, lsu or ole Miss next year? How come nobody’s crying about their schedule?
Oh yea, because they’re hopelessly irrelevant

quote:Holy shite. Alabama lost to the “make a wish kid” in the playoffs? At home? By 10 after the “make a wish kid” mercy kneeled to stay classy and not run up the score like they could have?
Just face it, Texas is the make a wish kid in the playoffs.
What a self-own
quote:Losses? Plural? I think Texas has the same amount of losses (1) as Alabama. I honestly didn’t know “who has the best looking loss” was a criterion for the committee, as I thought the process of eventually crowning a champion had everything to do with winning?
Your quality of losses is bad...
If Texas had a really bad loss, wouldn’t it be worse then if Alabama lost to said Texas team at home?

The better question would be why is Saban Kirby's daddy?
Posted on 12/31/23 at 8:38 am to Capn_Bevo
Yeah I did, he threw a dime about 45 yards on a rope to a wr for the win. He also threw 2 more Tds that were called back against the shorthorns with some bullshite flags.

Also: BevoBucks:
“Offensive side of the ball: Texas has better play caller. Is deeper at RB. Better at WR. Better at TE. Y’all have better running QB, we have better passer. OL maybe a slight nod to Bama at the moment. Defensive side: Better interior DL. Pass rush to Bama bc of Turner. Better backers. Bama has better safeties/corners. Special teams: slight nod to Bama’s kicker. Hard to pick against all time leading scorer.”
Slobhorn you’re stupid. BevoBucks you’re scared.
UGA has better QB, better lead RB and RB room, better TE’s, better WR’s, better OL, better LB’s, better DB’s, better Safties, better punter, better kicker, better long snapper, better Offensive Coordinator, better DC, better S&C coach, better HC, better school colors, better mascot, better stadium, better college town, and better women.
The only push is DL

And having all that, you lose the only competitive matchup you faced all year…

We lost one of 3 competitive matchups this year, Texas lost 1 of 2.

3 top 10 opponents, 9 dregs.
That’s how that works. You do have access to the rankings, right?
Posted on 12/31/23 at 9:04 am to Dawgfanman
Yes. As do the strength of schedule rankings.
Here's one that ranks Texas at 5 and Georgia at 7 at the end of the season
As another poster pointed out, ESPN had Georgia around 55 while Texas was in the top 10...
Sorry we beat the team that handled you?

Texas had a tougher “strength of schedule”, UGA played 3 competitive opponents, Texas played 2. This can all be true at the same time. You beat Bama, we lost. It’s why you made the playoffs and we didn’t. It happens. Congrats and good luck in your game.
