I wouldn’t be super surprised if Namath was a dirtbag, especially in the 70s. However, waiting this long and filing a suit for the actions of a guy that died in 1998 is kinda bullshite

Dude didn’t even include Namath in the original lawsuit. He amended to add him 2 years later

I dont know man, being raped as a 12 year old boy has to frick you up in the head.

Namath seems like a huge dirtbag, was probably too drunk to know what was going on.

Kind of a hit piece on Joe when someone else abused the guy. I doubt the dude had any idea.

This is why any sexual assault should be mandatory reported or never reported.

From the article, it doesn’t clearly say what Namath is alleged of doing. JoePa got fired because someone reported what was going on and he willfully ignored it. I really can’t tell what what Namath’s involvement in the camp was overall

Ya, I think he's just associated because his name was on the camp. My comment was more that he probably was to drunk to do anything if someone even told him about it.

Doesn’t look like Joe would’ve had any idea this was going on, he was just a famous name attached to the camp to get attendees.

Awful that it happened, though, and if there is any recourse, I hope the guy gets justice.

If Joe knew, then cut all ties and scrub his name from the books.

Yeah, at least from the article, the pedo
used Joe's name and presence as a way to impress
and groom the then kid. If there was any
knowledge by Joe of what was going on, it wasn't
alleged.

I thought JoePa got dragged because he reported it to his boss, just not to the police.

This is true. There has been a lot of revisionist history regarding Penn St and Joepa.

The mob lynched Joe. Killed him dead. He died thinking his whole life was dogshit because he followed chain of command.

Never say never, but i'm going with Joe never had a clue it was happening along with the other 98% of the camp.

Brain Kelly is man-grinding on every 17 year old boy he can find, and this is happening right now, but you expect Joe to remember when happened 50 years ago through a haze of cocaine and whiskey?

You can't blame a kid for coming forward as an adult though.

Joe Paterno didn’t have a fricking boss at Penn State.
