Central Time Zone-Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tea Sippers, Texas A&M (9)
Eastern Time Zone-Florida, Georgia, South Carolina (3)
Central & Eastern-Kentucky, Tennessee
Majority of the members are in the Central Time Zone, Yet most of the game starting information is released with Eastern Time Zones. Why is that?

Oh my goodness. This is what you’re complaining about?

Florida is Central and Eastern
And the answer is because anything with Eastern time included is always based on Eastern time.

After going to the Kentucky game last week, the difference between a 11 and 12 o’clock kickoff is astronomical

Majority of TV's are in the Eastern Time Zone, so TV advertising on a national level pretty much always uses EST.

Coming from the East coast, I've seen a LOT of times listed as "____ Eastern/_____ Pacific".

This is such an Aggy nickname for a rival. Y'all are just so ridiculous, like a 1950s caricature of a fanbase.

Television has shown Eastern times as broadcast time from the early days of television.

Agreed we should strictly use Mountain time zone

Eastern time zone has always been the US standard/default for tv, business, and pretty much everything else.
If you're talking worldwide events, Greenwich Mean Time is often listed.

Because...all television networks & media programming is based in the Eastern Time Zone and all television programming is scheduled based on the Eastern Time Zone beginning from when television first came into being.
Programming announcements by the national tv networks here on our TV sets here on the West Coast in Los Angeles, the announcers will say, "Three o'clock Eastern, 12 Pacific".
It has NOTHING to do with where most of the population lives.
