This Auburn team is the healthiest it’s been all year, which is strange for mid November. We look improved but a lot of that probably is due to easier competition. alabama has been on a roll lately and seems much improved from a month ago. Granted, they’ve been playing bad defenses the last two weeks.

This feels like one where we could catch them by surprise. Freeze seems to like the feel of this team and even said we could’ve gotten two of those games we lost had we been playing like this and been healthy.

What’re we thinking? I’m leaning towards a 4th quarter game where they win by ~10. If we rattle Milroe and cause some turnovers I could see a deep 4th quarter game similar to how the UGA game went.

I am not a betting man but I have seen Auburn as any where between a 22.5-26.5 point underdog. I would be looking to bet we cover the spread.

We could win but it won’t be by surprise.

Every Bama fan I know has been worried about the game pretty much since Texas.

Losing to us would knock them out of the playoffs. I would expect them to be focused and on top of their game in the iron bowl.

My first Iron Bowl was at Legion Field ....Punt Bama Punt.

I always expect a miracle.

I remember my Grandmother coming down the row, putting her arms around me and saying "I'm sorry you have to watch Auburn lose your first Iron Bowl." "Lose? All we need is a field goal and two touchdowns. we win this thing!" My Granfather who had put together the 1951-1959 teams asked "What did he say?" She told him .....spoken like a true football player .....My cousin who had played for Auburn as a wide receiver looked over smiles and shook his head .....

I can tell you we didn't leave until the stands were almost empty. Granddad took me back to Shug's office the following week. Shug had predicted Auburn would be lucky to win three football games ....at the start of the summer.

And yet two years ago they seemed off their game for 3-1/2 quarters. There were the same big goals at stake. We couldn't see a repeat this year at JHS?

I would say the game comes down to how well we can run the ball and if we can limit the big pass play by them. Obviously turnovers are always a factor.

Not saying we will win but I can see a path to victory. They have gotten better as the year has gone along and so have we. A lot of their big plays comes from the deep pass which should be a strength of our defense.

SEC refs aren't gonna let Bama lose bro. We will have to beat Bama and the refs.

2009 and 2021 come to mind. Refs influenced both of those games. 2021 should’ve been a 12-3 AU win with a safety from the blatant holding in the EZ.

Going to take an excellent performance to get the win. Offense is going to have to run the ball well. Can't get one dimensional. Defense is going to have to create pressure without creating lanes for Milroe to run in. That's what worries me the most. We can't let him sit back there all day because someone is going to get open.

I’d be stunned if it was anywhere close to that high. alabama was -10.5 @ Kentucky and we’re playing better than them and JHS is a much tougher environment.

Bet it’ll open around -12.5 assuming nothing crazy happens this coming weekend.

Georgia was favored by 14.5 over us so 14 is about right

I don't think Milroe will have to win it with his legs. he'll get plenty on the ground but through the air will be easy
