…do you immediately file for the portal? It seems like the guy doesn’t stand a chance in this stinker of an offense. For whatever reason Freeze and Monty have chosen to keep the guy on the bench (aside from poorly planned and pitifully executed double pass on Saturday) despite having the worst Auburn offense in decades. If I’m Holden, I ditch these clowns and dial up Mike Elko’s bat phone the first day the portal opens.

I dont know about you but I think If I was Holden I would have thrown the ball away yesterday. He had plenty of time to do so. He apparently doesnt make great decisions.

Does anyone see any improvement/ development of any player on offense? Every single player has regressed or is no better than they were last year. Thorne was a 6000 yard career passer. He looks like hellen keller now. Hunter looks worse. Robby looks exactly the same. I have seen improvement from week to week on defense. Are there too many offensive minds with pokers in the fire? It just doesn't make sense.

That might be a penalty of merely just taking bodies in the past. Nobody wanted Ashford. Thorne was getting benched and he was the best we could do.

Let me ask you this which of our offensive players could the college football factories pillage from our offense in the portal? Cobb and Lew probably.

I have a hard time believing coaches are keeping a more talented QB on the bench for any reason.

He’s a back up QB until his game speeds up. Even on the terrible trick play last night just too long to get rid of the ball.

If I were his parents, I would have an honest discussion with him and evaluate his talent vs getting a free education at Auburn that will set him up for life. I haven't seen anything from Holden to indicate he can play QB at a high level.

All due respect, I thought he was one of the only guys who had a great game yesterday. 15 for 91 on the ground and 3 for 54 in the air.

He's not more talented. Take the Redshirt and learn to play at this level over the summer. Go to a Quarterback Camp.

I don’t know how you’d know that with the play calling that’s going on. It’s like the coaches aren’t even trying to do anything but run out the clock each game. This Oline definitely looks better for the sheer fact that the RBs aren’t getting hit as soon as they take the handoff.

I looked at it differently. The whole defense had their ears pinned back and the DB was on a bee line for him.....ya gotta remember that is a lateral, he wanted to make darn sure he caught it lest he get popped trying to catch it and its a pick six. By the time he secured it, he had no chance to throw it away.

I just think the kid has been dealt a really crappy hand. He is not "a fit" for whatever this offense is supposed to be. He will transfer and be a darn good QB at a P5 school.

The players say he has the best arm, in his high school tape he ran beautiful progressions and quick decisions.

I think we have so many QB whispers as coaches on this team it sounding more like shrieking demons lol.

Play the kid. What is the worst that can happen.......we throw for 100 yards and lose?

The more I see of Freeze, the more stubborn Gus tendencies I see.

This…there have been many opportunities for him to play a couple of series and actually throw it.

There was nobody to throw to anyway. Nobody on Ole Miss' defense was fooled in any way. Hell, one if the two WRs out on routes ran directly into his defender about 7 yards downfield. Yeah he should have e thrown it away, but that's easy to say sitting in the stands or on your couch. He has to make the catch, look up for an open man, then make a decision. At that point, the defender was already on him.

It was a dumb call from the jump.

DBs have been doing that to our WRs all season anything 10 or less they are just grabbing and holding because there is absolutely no threat of a deep throw.

I remember saying that about our running backs and guys here swore we had better running backs sitting on the bench but the coach didnt like them.

Coaches are paid to win and want to win. If Holden was better than the 2 clowns we are using, he would be out there slinging it.

I have seen absolutely nothing from him for me to be upset when he transfers
