So now we have the head coach at Georgia bitching about the state of Missouri NIL laws..guess what???were leveling the playing field...the best part about Missouri is not only do we talent in the state we have elite talent..and now most will be going to Mizzou .. if your state doesn't produce elite talent yeah in 5 years your screwed...BTW Texas has a similiar law which is very scary considering how much elite talent that state produces and with a ton programs to choose from

Thank you for including what those NIL laws are so that people who don't like in Missouri can know the difference.

That being said....Kirby is sounding like a bitch considering he's coming off back-to-back Natty's.

If you don’t think there should be NIL standardization in order to keep the playing field somewhat level, you are being foolish. It is why most professional sports have salary caps.

That being said, as a Georgia fan, I don’t think Kirby would have said anything about it at all if the current NIL laws in Georgia were the same as those in Missouri, Texas and a few other states.

Just like every coach who is worth a damn, he is going to lobby for what will help his team. I promise you that coaches do not give a fat rats arse about the opinions of anonymous message board posters. Nor should they.

They are all professional athletes now, open to the highest bidder.

When it comes to NIL, I'm in favor of it in general, but I don't like the concept of buying recruits.

I'm hoping that at some point we can reach a system where any money promised to a player is guaranteed... even if they decide to attend a different school.

Regardless of how NIL is being used, the INTENT was for it to allow businesses to pay players to use their name image and likeness in advertising. A business actually doing that wouldn't care that much of Caleb Williams were at Oklahoma or USC... his NIL has value to them because he's Caleb Williams.

Few HS players have value in that regard before they get to college. Maybe someone like Arch Manning, but not most guys. When they get deals, it's about paying them to come to your school, and NIL was never intended to do that. So if it could be set up so that if UF boosters makes a promise for 2 million dollars to a player... they're stuck paying that even if he goes to another school. If that can be made to happen, then I don't think paying for HS players will happen because there's no insurance he'll come to your school if you pay him.

No we are handing certain schools advantages.

ALL, ALL NIL laws should be uniformed. Not whatever a state thinks it should be. You want NIL, fine but not in its current form.

Creating special State legislation to get an edge is a puss move. That said, it’s how all of NIL really started. Thanks Cali.

Every fan should want some type of standardization. Not happening until the conferences get aligned and those new power centers agree on something.

Last I counted, 6 different Federal bills proposed this year alone. All of which are just show.

When the schools truly have to share more of their cut with players, laws will change. This is already happening as each hungry school pushes the NIL bar higher and has to transfer donor funds to NIL collectives. Administrations desperate for self preservation will be torn.

Embrace the hate and hypocrisy. For once, Mizzou is leading the way in changing the status quo.

College just needs to go semi-pro with a salary cap. Why prolong this shitshow.

Until player choice is taken out and a draft is installed, buying of players will continue.

Now that the NCAA can’t stop laws like this the , expect the rest of the states to do the same. Mizzou does not have as much money as UT, UGA, Bama, Texas, Oklahoma, and LSU among others. Once other states sign these same laws you won’t keep your same kids in state any more.

I think it’s going to be funny when a player starts getting paid early and jsut doing it while he’s in school, and then flips on signing day to another school and can start getting laid by that school now high school over. What will you say then when that happens?

What was the quote from the head coach at UGA regarding Missouri NIL laws?

I didn't see it anywhere in the thread.
