Assessment of your team's biggest issue(s) for this year. Honest answers please.

For Alabama the obvious issue is who is going to be QB, especially if it turns out to be Milroe. But the other two big issues are penalties (we've never had as many penalties as last year, not even close) and the ability to run the ball when we have to have a few yards or to run clock late in the game.
I don't know why our penalties were so bad other than the usual explanation of a lack of discipline, but we won't go anywhere if we can't do better than 129th out of 131 teams. We committed 32 penalties in just the Texas and Tennessee games whereas in Saban's first 3 years we averaged only 4.5 per game.
That's what I've got for Bama, what about your team?

LSU’s secondary is a huge question mark

32 penalties can’t be right.
We cheat and pay the refs.

Vols secondary. It’s the secondary until proven otherwise.

First string secondary will be fine, depth on defense generally is the question mark

Most of our drama will be the tension between Fisher and Petrino. Unlike last year, only freshmen who earn playing time will get it. Last year, tons of freshmen played because there simply were no other options.

Willie Martinez and the secondary unit.

Most would say QB but I think we're going to have a solid QB no matter who it is. The OL is where most of the unanswered questions lie for us. Is our center ready this year and how well will the group play with a new coach. I'm optimistic but who isn't this time of year.

So do you think Petrino will really call the plays without being overridden by Jimbo or is that where the tension will come from?

There's absolutely no way you can say this with any level of true confidence.
The LSU secondary is a major question mark and it won't be answered until they actually play the games.

This, although it was reported they got the better of the receivers in the last practice. Special teams as a whole needs to drastically improve. They were awful last year.

I guess qb and Rb? But I don’t honestly think either will be an issue

Yeah. We look to be elite at DL and LB, so hopefully that takes some of the pressure off and let’s the secondary get more comfortable and confident.

You've been duped into online chatter. Those two will be fine
Will your young QB take a step forward in development?
Will your Oline improve over last year?

The starting safeties and linebackers are a known quantity.
Corners are unknown. Depth at LB and DB is unknown.

Pass rush.
Outside of Mykel Williams, there’s not really any proven experience on the edges for us, and we don’t have that 1st-round stud in the middle we’ve had for the last three years to provide interior pressure.
There are gobs of talent there, so multiple guys could very well end up coming on and shining, but it is a real question entering the season.
Interior linebacker is good enough that our run defense shouldn’t really suffer much.

Running Back
Depth in the trenches
Two places where we really cannot afford to have issues - no one can in this league. However, if we're lucky and the football gods smile upon us ... we might be okay and survive the season and win 8 or 9 ballgames while Beamer is busting his arse rebuilding after the muschamp destruction.

On offense: execution of passing game.
On defense: stopping the run
Special teams: no issues at the moment.

It sounds like his QB already knows who to throw the ball to before the snap. If the play blows up, he either throws to the open man, tucks it in and runs, or throws it away.
I'd be worried mostly about your online. That's the biggest question mark
