they most certainly did. This is what mouth breathing morons don't seem to grasp abotu the playoffs...the 4 teams that m ake it are based on their 12/13 game resume and who is most deserving. Wht happens after the playoffs are set is completley and totally irrelevant.
There are probably 50 other CFB teams that would have made the title game a closer margin on that night, which doesn't have anythign whatsoever to do with whether TCU deserved ot be there or not. They absolutely did.

Dooley fought the ncaa and won.
They weren't afraid of him. They hated him and would jump at the chance to get back at him.
He did what every person would do in his position and advocated for his school's best interests.
Your usage of "spineless rat" is without meaning or thought.

I’m sure LSU could say the same about Spurrier but we’re pretty far passed that IMO. As bad as it was in the 90s, and it was bad, it just typically doesn’t bring the angst that it used to.

If you think TCU was one of the best 4 teams last year, I can’t help you.
P.S. - people who resort to name calling because they can’t have an intelligent conversation normally have low IQ’s.

I liked Coach Dooley. Meet him several times and he was a true gentleman.

Once again, it's not about "best" teams. Its about most deseving. I don't know how many times this needs to be hammered into people's brains. If it was the subjectively "best" teams then they might as well put bama/uga/osu in the playoffs in October eveyr year since by that point it's obvious those teams are the most talented and "best". But tha'ts why you play the actual games, so get an objective resume to compare against others.

iv'e tried for 9 years to have intelligent conversation about the playoffs. Eveyr year people say the same stupid things in rebuttal which are just as stupid now as they always have been. And people still just don't seem to grasp this basic, elementary, simple concept.

You need to get up to speed with what the playoffs are.
I know that Saban cried last offseason. But the reality is that Saban wanted to punish TCU for competing in a conference championship game. A type of game that Saban couldn't earn his way into.
Are we having CCGs or not?
That's the question which you need to ask yourself.

It’s the thoughts of the CFP committee that matter. They thought they were..similar to how they thought Cincy was the year before.

I am. That’s why I wrote “IMO”. No doubt that opinions vary.

gonna disagree w/ you there meansonny. Florida is most definitely universally recognized as UGAs biggest rival.
However, if Gators don't get better soon I believe they will fade from the top spot. To have a legit rivalry, it cannot be so one-sided.

They had no business being in that game…..wouldn’t even be in top half of SEC.
Then somebody else should have won the games needed to keep them out.

Georgia fans pretending Florida isn’t their main rival are hilariously out of touch, stupid, or just a troll

The real answer is Georgia Tech
It's not, you know that. Also, I don't give a fat rat's arse, coach speak is irrelevant, your coach HATES UF more than he hates every other team.
It is. GT. First and foremost. Until Spurrier became HC at Florida the UGA/UF series was more or less a rent-a-win situation for UGA. Just the names of the game alone is enough for anyone who thinks about to know which game is more of a rival. One is the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party". The other is "Good Old Fashioned Hate". The former is whimsical, it brings to mind friends and family getting together to enjoy a celebration together. The latter is about mortal enemies. Ray Goff was 1-6 against UF and 6-1 against Tech. He lasted 7 seasons at UGA. Jim Donnan was 3-3 against Tech and 1-5 against UF. He managed to last 6 seasons. That 3 game losing streak to GT was FAR more the cause of his getting ran slap the frick out of Athens than his losing to UF in the only era in CFB history where UF was anything more than a middle of the pack program. Losing to GT is UNACCEPTABLE to UGA fans. Losing to UF is more acceptable. I suspect that most UF fans would take a win over FSU over a win against UGA if they had to choose. FSU has only been playing football for 76 years and a lot of that time they weren't in the same league as UF. GT was once upon a time a blueblood....FSU has one era of being competitive, the rest of the time they were either bad or good. Being in state makes the game mean more for all 4 programs...UF is only slightly, if any, bigger as a UGA rival than Auburn.

Don't sell yourself short. There's an infinite number of reasons to hate Florida.
