It really is crazy that at the turn of the 21st century Tennessee was head and shoulders, without question, FAR and away the undisputed #2 SEC program of all time. And in a short 20 years they have pretty much been passed by at least one, maybe two, other programs.

Bama does not have 13 national champs sorry try again

Crazy to think in the last 75 YEARS both tenner and Michigan have a total of 3 combined nattys. Pittsburgh, Minnesota and BYU have as many titles as Michigan. Truly wild considering the overall win% and brand/history.

By Florida State standards, 8-4 would get Mike Norvell a new 10-year contract.
He already got a 10 win season, including a win over Brian Kelly’s LSU, the same Brian Kelly’s LSU that Saban couldn’t beat with a Heisman qb, and better coordinators than he has now.
Enjoy your decline!

Alabama just pulled in the top class by far.
And they can’t even win their division?
That’s sad, Saban is slippin

The last 5 years:
Georgia - 2
Alabama - 1
LSU - 1
Clemson - 1
Georgia - 2
Alabama - 1
LSU - 1
Clemson - 1

Alabama has 13 undisputed poll era national titles. Your jealousy doesn’t discount what Alabama has achieved.

I'm counting three with Auburn in striking distance to make four.

I was alive for all 3. I can be content in that knowing I have friends who have never seen their teams hoist a title.

The beginning of the 1948 season and the end of the 2022 season totaled 75 football seasons. You guys should've started with the 1948 season if you wanted a rounded off 75 years.
Good catch. I chose 1950 because it's a nice even year to go by and mentioned 75 years but failed to adjust my totals to include the 1948 and 1949 seasons.
FYI, I edited my OP to include the 1948 and 1949 seasons which added one national title each to Michigan and Notre Dame's total number of titles

Literally the opposite of a round number.

It's a miracle we're at 14 given the years we've taken off. I do think a few programs needs to be adjusted though given their soft schedules.

It’s truly funny how Alabama fans love to use a set year (1950) to fool themselves from the truth. Like it or not no matter the time span Yale is tied for most. Stop fooling yourself or make an era where you are the very best. You are embarrassing yourself and you university.
