Politics.
Seriously, he was the flavor of the month having just guided SMU to some pretty good records. Arkansas needed a coach, looked like they thought they couldn't lose. Turns out they couldn't win.

2015 Alabama
One of the hardest rains I've ever been outside in, and Alabama punked us from the jump. Out manned us all day long and really showed us how far Richt had let the program fall since our last dance with them in 2012.
Spent the entire 4th quarter back at my fraternity house sitting in a towel while I dried my clothes out, just staring at the wall.

Mizzou 6 to UConn 3.
Won when UConn attempted a fake FG. It was a brutal game to be at.

2019 against Kentucky.
Hardest rain I’ve ever sat in at Sanford Stadium and the game was just dogshit. Both offenses were bad and neither team could do shite.
Georgia’s passing game was in a lull to say the least and the rain made it downright impossible to throw the ball. Kentucky was on, I believe, their third quarterback against a Georgia defense that was top 10 nationally.
0-0 at halftime. Just a lifeless ballgame. God bless D’Andre Swift though.

this one (it was also like 38 degrees with a 20mph north wind) as well as the 1996 Shaun Alexander shite stomping.

2014 Mississippi State @ LSU: the final score makes it look like a competitive game, but State completely dominated for 3 quarters until Mullen took his foot off the gas in the 4th and gave Les a chance to get back into it. TS was nearly completely empty when time ran out. Broke a 14 game winning streak against the Bulldogs
This game solidified Dak as a big time SEC QB. I just watched stunned at this kid from Haughton that Miles offered as a Tight end became the first QB in 20 years to throw for almost 300 and rush for over 100 yards against us. In Death Valley. At night.

Alabama vs. Vandy in September 2006.
Alabama won 13-10. It was very hot, too.

My personal in person worse was 2018 Bama. The place was rocking after Jamal Adams picked off Hurts on the first drive of 1st quarter. After that it was just a complete slow numbing disaster reminiscent of the 2011 championship rematch. 29-0 with a Burrow led super talented team in DV at night. Just Pain.
In person Honorable mention: 2009 UF. #1 vs #4, Sold out 7pm kickoff at home, college game day in town, both programs at their respective heights, revenge for the blowout the year prior in Gainesville on the mind…Then an absolute burning dump upon the 100K collective chests there to witness it. A 3-13 Les Miles Justin Jefferson Special. UF’s D suffocated the toss pitch and Tebow did just enough to get the dub.
The fact we’ve gone 13-3 against Florida since that night feels good tho. Eat shite, Florida.

2012 Tex A&M for sure up there. I remember feeling like we were a high school team playing against a pro team.

How much time do you have? Before I turned 16 years old I witnessed the following atrocities in person:
2008: Auburn 3 MSU 2
2004: Maine 9 MSU 7
2004: UAB 27 MSU 13
*****Quick reminder to mention that the 2004 Mississippi State Bulldogs, after losing to Maine, UAB, and a 2 win Vandy team, went on to beat Florida. God Bless Ron Zook*****
2001: Troy State 21 (they had not dropped the State yet) MSU 9, with a tornado delay as the cherry on top
2006: Tulane 32 MSU 29 (this was Tulane a year after Katrina, mind you)
Fast forward to my college years, somehow the most miserable I’ve been at a game actually isn’t one of those I’ve already mentioned. It’s the 2012 Texas A&M game. The infamous “Snow Bowl 2012”. State wore all white with silver letters, A&M wore all black. 11 am kickoff in early November, weather was supposed to be cool, so I wore a long sleeved shirt and jeans. Get to the stadium, it’s about 90 degrees. And then Manziel proceeded to absolutely humiliate us. The score was only like 38-13 but it felt a lot worse. I believe A&M put up almost 700 yards of total offense, and at the time that was just something you never saw in an SEC game. It was horrible to sit through.

Speaking of a high school team playing a real college team, I was at the Nebraska vs AU game in 1982 or 83, when Nebraska came in with Rozier, Turner Gill, Irving Friar and a line of 5th year seniors led by Dean Steinkuler, who won the lineman of the year. I think the score was 40 something to not much. I recall the Nebraska line opened holes for Rozier that I could have run through as a 70-year-old man. Was impressed that Nebraska fans traveled so well for that game. I suppose they had a lot of confidence Nebraska would win and their confidence was well rewarded. That Nebraska team a year later would play for the NC against Miami in one of the better NC games.

My first ever game at Jordan-Hare: FSU 1987.
Auburn played them every year back in those days and we always beat them in some heartbreaking fashion so they had a ton of built up frustration.
Also this was the program's breakout year. It's hard to imagine now but they were a Southern Miss-level program for most of their history, but they were officially big boys in 1987 and they took us behind the woodshed. Deion trashed talked us incessantly and backed it up of course.
Also, Burt Rynolds showed up to the game in a gold limo that pulled right in front of the stadium and talked shite to the Auburn fans as he headed into the stadium. This was before Gameday and the celebrity guest became a thing so it was strange to see a major celebrity pull up and make a grand entrance.

You guys also had a game vs Houston in the late 80s or early 90s that Houston won 60-40 I think.
I just remember I was driving somewhere during that game listening to it on AM radio and the radio would fade out, then come back and it seemed every time it came back it was Houston scoring another TD.
