“Bama always operates on a full tank,” Pate said. “They’re always used to being so much more talented than everyone. … In reality, they’re gonna out-talent most everyone they play still even if you consider them down or vulnerable. They’ve got studs everywhere.”

Just thought I would throw a little sanity in idiotville.

I mean y’all pulled a natty out of your arse with Jake Coker at QB and Saban is still your coach so anyone who disagrees would be an idiot

I don't know of anyone that truly believes Alabama can't win a championship.

We just see that Alabama isn't as dominant as they used to be.

Since Saban has been in Tuscaloosa, they haven’t gone three consecutive years without a natty. So honestly this is the time to put your money on them. Unless you think Saban’s slipping. Which he could be, who knows. I don’t know what Bama’s QB situation is, but it’s a first year starter regardless.

There's a lot of people out there that's ready for Bama's downfall and they are going to be disappointment.

Bama has a legit shot to win NC every year until Saban retires (hopefully soon!)

Josh Pate is the king of hedging and pussying out.

They aren't winning shite unless Milroe takes a gigantic leap.

So, no more complaints about being shorthanded against Georgia in the national championship game. Glad that's been put to rest.

He made valid points about the roster. QB is still important. Having a great QB makes you elite, having a bad QB makes you vulnerable. Not really about Bama either but thats been the question mark.

Thank you for posting Josh Pate's opinion that it's possible. I definitely needed this today.

Folks want to write Bama off so bad. They aren't going anywhere. I thought they would have one of the all-time great teams last year, they didn't. I'll consider that (vs the other 15 seasons) the anomaly until proven otherwise.

If anything I fear that UGA's run/ style, coupled with Bama's QB situation, will force Bama back into Saban's comfort zone. I much prefer soft, pass-happy Bama!

Josh Pate obviously has the knowledge to solve world hunger, why is he wasting his talents on sports?

Of course they can. Anybody thinking otherwise is either stupid or ignorant.
The talent is there but you have to have other things fall into place.
Injuries have to be minimal
Scheme-you have to put the players in the best position to win. You can't put in a RB to run a screen if he can't catch (Roydell Williams). Or have routes to a TE that can't catch (Cam Latu) or send a defensive player into coverage when he isn't a good cover guy (Will Anderson)
Lastly- Some luck. every national champ has some fortune fall their way. A bounce here, an opposing player out there, a stupid call by the opposing coach (Kiffin usually fills in this square for everybody)
even weather can play a part.

Is anyone really saying otherwise? (Not counting self deluded homers who want to believe Alabama is done forever - those types believe all sorts of foolishness about all sorts of programs.

they could lose 3-4 games this year, the rant would explode and bammers would melt, wed spend all season and offseason rejoicing and theyd be right back in the discussion next year. so long as they have saban theyre dangerous.
