Cecil the Diesel could have been on that list were he not a head case.

Heath Shular QB
Jamal Lewis RB
Travis Stephens RB
Jauan Jennings WR

Shular had a cannon and was more athletic than Manning, Lewis is a straight stud at RB, coupled with Stephens as a cutter? and Jennings is a straight ballar at WR. They would just Will a team to win.

You'd take Shuler over Manning?

LSU beat 7 - top 10 teams. No other team is remotely close.

I better apologize to you. “Damn genius” is a 2 on the tigerdroppings scale of 1-10. Seriously.

You sound very emotional. Very wordy. I hope that doesn’t hurt your feelings. I better stop now before I do irreparable damage.

David Rockford12, out.

"remotely close"? Not true at all...Last year UGA beat 6 ranked teams, three in the top 5, with UT being ranked #1 when we trashed them. But there's more to being a top team than just who they played.

ETA: misread, adjusted to reflect.

As an LSU fan, I wouldn't want to play against that team on our best day. How would you even stop that in college football? With a halfway decent O-Line they wouldn't likely face a 3rd down all game.

That's as not frickin fair as the Cam Newton/Bo Jackson combo.
I hate all of you for triggering my Football Game PTSD watching LSU try to stop those guys.

They have to all play together ... so I'm not going to pick an All-Star team - but rather, a bunch that could work together.

Peyton Manning at QB. No question. If we're going two backs, I want guys that can carry the rock, catch, and block. So Emmitt Smith for one. And I'll cheat - and take Heinz Ward and use him as a FB.

Somebody up-thread mentioned Kevin Faulk. He wasn't a blocker - but my goodness, could he ever run and catch. If I had a traditional banger at FB, I could see Kevin Faulk as my HB in a two back offense.

If it has to be a Kentucky backfield ...

... give me Tim Couch at QB, of course. Mark Higgs at HB, and John Conner at FB.

Although the distance between Couch and a Lorenzen at 260 lbs. is not much. At 250 lbs - I'd take Lorenzen.

To have had Matt Jones running the triple option with Barry Foster as FB with DMac and Felix Jones as halfbacks. Wow!

Bryce Derrick Henry and Najee Harris
I assume you mean from our favorite team. If that isn’t what you mean, my pick is Vince Young, Derrick Henry, and Barry Sanders.
