JD Davidson or Brandon Miller

Which one would do well this year? I understand two different positions, two different skillsets, but yet.. I can't help but wonder, how would JD translate on the court with Brandon Miller?

I appreciate his year of service, but I'm glad we have Sears, Bradley, and JQ as our guards.

J.D.'s skill set, maturity and over all play in no shape matched up with Miller's this year. I am not knocking J.D., but Miller can take the team on his back, and quite frankly, his presence on the court gives confidence to the rest of the team.
Who would I like to see playing with us now? Herb Jones and Colin Sexton. Even Petty would probably play exceedingly well, knowing that it doesn't all fall onto his shoulders to make threes.

JD isn't close to Miller as a talent, Miller's potential is in rarified air, if he can attain it. His ceiling is Kobe, KD Tracy McGrady type production in the NBA. JD's peak might be Deron Williams, but he has a lot of work to do to get there.

Davidson can’t carry Miller’s jock

JD's best games in an Alabama uniform were a ho-hum Tuesday night for Miller. I think they could easily co-exist since Miller can score without being ball dominant, but Miller is by far the better player.

Give me Herb Jones back over JD every day of the week. We’d be unstoppable with Herb.

Your premise and question are very convoluted. Makes for a confusing, meandering thread imo.

I’d take releford. He and Quinerly would be an unstoppable duo.

I think Miller would do pretty well this year, given the opportunity. Just my opinion.

Frankly, I've forgotten about JD

If yall could have one guy, any guy that's played for Bama to make this team more complete who would it be?

Give me Miller every day and twice on Sundays. Davison seemed to be more of a distraction while Miller tends to make everyone elevate their game when he is on the floor. Herb and/or Sexton on this team would’ve been a damn nightmare for opponents!!

Drop Sears for John Petty as shooting guard.

Last time we played Davidson, we lost in Birmingham. And who the hell wears a jock strap playing basketball?

Josh Primo would make this team ridiculous. Herb and Petty would be great too, but Primos shooting, driving, and defense were incredible for a kid his age.

Some players from earlier days who would do well in this system, imho:
Earnest Shelton
Jim Farmer
Kennedy Winston
Latrell Sprewell

JD Davison was a developmental PG with outstanding athleticism and a high ceiling who was still a work in progress with regard to shooting, ball control and defense.
Brandon Miller is a Reggie Miller/Kevin Durant level knock down shooter who showed up day one ready to play at an All-American level. He was developed in a test tube to play within Nate Oats offense and is without question the most talented player ever to play in Tuscaloosa.
While I understand the inclination to compare 5* players, I don’t think it’s doing anyone justice because Miller is a generational player and is really only comparable to players from previous years at other schools.
Just statistically here is how they compare:
Miller: 19ppg, 8 reb, 40% 3
Davison: 8ppg, 4ast, 30% 3
Reggie Miller: 22ppg, 4reb, 43% 3
Kevin Durant: 25ppg, 11reb, 40% 3
Paul George: 16.8ppg, 8reb, 35% 3
