Let’s just take it 1 at a time.

Pussy talk. We are playing Yale. We better have 5 flagrants against those nerds and send them back to the library.

Anybody can lose - but I got a feeling our team is going to be focused and locked in. Yale amd SDSU have 7 footers that lead their teams. If we can tame those giraffes then we get a 7’6” dude. Can’t wait to watch the big men fall. When our squad wins this one, it will be one of the best runs ever in a tournament. Ever…since 2019

This will be the first time either of us have been to Boston, so any recommendations are welcomed.

Love going to Boston. The North End is fantastic for Italian food. Do the tourist stuff. Their metro/sub makes it very easy to get around. If you’re near the park area, then everything will be within walking distance.

Worked at a TV station in Boston for year. We had Legal Seafood's clam chowder a couple of times a week. My wife and I went up for SIGGRAPH and she still thinks of Boston as a place with great clam chowder.

I've booked a room in Boston next Wednesday thru Sunday. I promised the wife we would go if they make the Sweet 16. Anybody else plan on making the trip if we win our first 2? This will be the first time either of us have been to Boston, so any recommendations are welcomed.

Boston’s version of the subway will take you right to TD Garden. It’s only $4.50 for a two-way ticket. They have several trains. The Green Line is the train you can take to North Station to get to the Garden. There is also a Red Line that you can take to Harvard and the JFK Presidential Library among numerous other places if you want to sight see. It’s an expansive system that takes you quickly all over the city and it’s much cheaper than ubering. When you get to your hotel ask for a map. The city is also very walkable.

Boston doesn't believe in street signs. You are just supposed to know your way around. You can be thankful for GPS.

Boston - I've been a couple of times, really enjoyed but I do like American history.

1. Stayed both times near Boston Common, nice central location to everything
2. As others have said, the subway system is easy to navigate and inexpensive, use it.
3. History, walk the Freedom Trail. Starts in Boston Common...just follow the brick pavers. freedomtrail.org is a great website. 1st stop Mass State house offers a free guided tour (about 45 min), really enjoyed. Granary Burying Grounds (cemetery for Paul Revere, John Hancock, Sam Adams and the Boston Massacre 5). Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Boston Massacre Marker, Paul Revere House (you can tour, doesn't take long) and The Old North Church (several tours offered and you can book in advance) to name a few other highlights. If you walk the whole trail, it will take you all day and you probably won't be able to take it all in.
4. Walk Beacon Hill area, Boston Public Garden and the park through Commonwealth Ave for a nice stroll and a look at some fantastic old Boston homes.
5. Trinity Church, Public Library are pretty nice to visit. Both are right at the Boston Marathon Finish Line.
6. Cannoli's, head to Mike's Pastry in North End.
7. Eaten twice at Coppa Enoteca, obviously a favorite.
8. Democracy Brewing was good fun. Liked a few of the beers and food was much better than average for a tap room.
9. Unfortunately, Red Sox start the season on the road so no games at Fenway.

So much to do, so little time...

Several on the UCONN board don't think we make it to Boston. Apparently we are overrated and a metric darling. Just need to win the one in front of us.

SDSU is not going to be easy. Yale is not going to be easy. This is a championship tournament. We are really, really good but almost anything can happen in one game. 2018 UMBC would have lost to Virginia 99 out of 100 times
