Well, it's time to get serious in the portal. The HS class is great, and it directly improves our passing game and pass rush for next year. Probably also immediately upgrades the linebackers. I don't see immediate impact at other positions.

Our current 3 transfers seem "floor raising" types. I'm hoping from this point on we target high impact transfers.

To improve the OL we need a sure fire left tackle.

D line needs a Marcus Harris replacement. Maybe a big edge rusher.

We NEED a safety, unless there is a redshirt freshman they feel good about.

I have no idea what is needed at corner or nickel, but I worry those positions aren't going to improve without getting a quality corner in the portal.

TE and RB don't need anyone new for next year.

I agree but the staff appears high on Robinson and Love from last recruiting cycle. But I would much rather have a proven quality back there.

I don’t even have a clue where we are at numbers wise for the 85. But I still expect some more folks to jump in the portal after the bowl or possibly after spring.

Regarding DBs. Didnt Love or one of the other young guys get a look quite a bit later in the season at nickel? I know we played some guys like Rhym at corner.

Didnt I also hear that Keionte wanted to play more true corner this coming year?

Laquan Robinson will play early and often at safety.

Harris I heard he expressly wanted to play corner and dawgs wanted to keep him at safety, hence the portal.

My point is, with Laquan and AJ Harris we will be fine.

Edge, it will be a waste of a scholly if we get someone as insurance. A mediocre experienced transfer wont beat out a true Demonta Waller, and he is pretty good at holding the edge on the run even though he is known as a demon in pass rush. With he and Phillips in the rotation behind Mcloed we will be far better than last year.

DL, I hope we get the DT transfer from Mich State, he has a couple of years and I saw he is listed at nearly 360 lbs on their roster. Darron Reed will get a lot of playing time on the inside as well, would have this year had he not been injured and then idle hands and got into that mischief.

OL we need a good one at left OT. Otherwise Wade stays there and Muskrat backs up there and guard.

It is spooky we are not hearing much about the linemen from a couple of years ago, is Harris making any progress?

Our DL is going to need guys who can get to the QB without blitzing.

If we can't generate QB pressure only rushing 2, we will be in a rough spot.

Leaving this little gem right here for discussion. Gotta love the title spin. Goes against what some here were saying about the last minute payout from GA. Who knows, maybe there’s some truth to it

I agree and I think we are all seeing the same path forward. The question that I am always asking is, will we be better at this position than last year? Right now we are only better at WR and LB/jack. At this moment we are worse at corner and run stopping. Probably worse at safety. OL close to the same, but I'd like to see it improve.

Yikes. Syracuse paid for a kid to OV to have one of their coaches tell the kid he should go to UGA

Had the same thought. That definitely wasn’t orchestrated by Kirby or anything

I found it interesting that "his father was not involved in his career (insert life) until this spring (insert when it was obvious money would be in play). And his dad says its not about money, but maybe its about daddy's money

Wish him luck, with money involved and the parasites it attracts, and an impressionable kid, all sorts of things will happen in this era of NIL.

If that article was about Auburn, we would all be gushing over it. What he said about the NFL development has some truth to it, and it’s where Auburn is trying to get to.

Funny we assume a little more money is the only reason a kid we pick uga over us right now. But that’s the go to for fake insiders now with nil

that article is from a UGA rag. They are like gumps. kids go there just so they can say they played for UGA. It had nothing to do with the money. It was for the honor and glory of playing for King kirby.

whatever you have to do to make it feel better for yourself. He was all Auburn until the last minute. Bolden told Freeze he was coming, then the bag drop from uga and it was done. KJ's dad played a big role in him choosing uga.

They definitely upped their offer after losing the QB. Auburn was probably willing to pay more but I’m sure there was an amount the family was comfortable with.
