Hard to think Tampa was ever -12 degrees. Ever.
It got down to 18 F in 1962. That is -8 C.
I guess that poster is 100% full of crap.

It wasn’t the coldest but the biggest change in weather. 2012 Auburn/LSU…it was 70+ before the game. A front moved in and it was in the mid 40s in the 2nd half

No way it was 12 below anywhere in Florida
According to The Weather Channel, Tampa's all-time record low temperature is 18 °F (-8 °C) and St. Petersburg's is 20 °F (-7 °C), both occurring during the same cold snap on December 13, 1962.

November night games in Norman with 40 mph winds will be an awakening for some of the southern schools…

Coldest game I ever attended was Saint X vs. Trinity in Louisville, at old Cardinal Stadium. Sitting on tall, metal bleachers, at least five stories tall, with the wind all around.
My old man, and Pat, had antifreeze running ... because they were adults. But it was cold. Awful cold.

Nothing too crazy but the 2000 Iron Bowl in Tuscaloosa. Freezing rain for most of the game was tons of fun.

2012 Kebtucky v Alabama State immediately comes to mind. Totally frozen over. Don't know why I sat through that. Stoops first season, I had season tickets and I wasn't gonna leave during our 2nd win (of 2) that season.

1983 Gator Bowl. Florida vs Iowa. Jacksonville, FL. 35 degrees and windy. This Florida boy froze his arse off. Florida did win and finished in the top 10 for the first time ever.

High school playoffs. 15 degrees. When I would get coffee it would be cold before you got back to the stands. I had coveralls and everything else I could find on. Plus we got beat on last play of the game

Was there. Very cold but a guy in purple and gold shared his pocket flask. Cajun hospitality at its finest.
