What May be disturbing is that he was being treated for awhile now and they may have missed the real problem.

This is the worst. My dad had to find out his mom passed via voicemail.

Man that is sickening. I'm sorry he had to experience that. These families deserve way better.

No Ole Miss guys have reported that he is dead.

Neal McCready most certainly stated that the family had all said their good byes and he was about to pass.

Yes he did.

Then Lane used the words in past tense as in no longer here.

Fair question. And some in the trade (it’s not a profession, that’s pretentious) would crucify me if I did that because they are so devoted to complete accuracy … with good reason … that they will put the most convoluted and ungrammatical and downright nonsensical quotes in stories “because that’s what they said.”

I’ll say again, the fact that he was speaking in past tense about Leach would’ve immediately set off an alarm and to keep from causing trouble as much for me as for him, I simply would’ve said, “Coach, you’re speaking in past tense, is that really what you want to do?”

Nothing personal. I used the nuclear option on that post.

This is disturbing to see all those people commenting about his health history, whether it's a ride or helicopter, did he die or etc... The best thing to do as a human being is to continue to pray for him and his family and stop speculating on stuff.

I recently lost my father to similar situation and Let me tell you this.... there's nothing worse than hearing all of those speculations from family and friends...

I'm sure we'll hear the news when it's appropriate, but right now we need to stop having discussions on Leach like it's a topic. Do it out of respect for family and friends of his.

I have heard so many people dying lately. Sorry to hear about your loss.

My dad had a massive heart attack a year ago. Thankfully he made it but was in the ER a few days ago again with heart issues.

You never know, man. Just enjoy your family while you can. Never take them for granted.

Just crazy though how many deaths have happened over the past couple of years.

Genespage trashed and slandered Leach mercilessly over the past two years, for no good reason. That site is a travesty.

Thanks guys but I didn’t want to make this about me. I am 51 and I forget how fast information can be passed nowadays. Part of being an old guy. My Dad was 82 and ready. Leach is a younger guy and this is an unexpected hit. They might be trying to get family to the hospital.

No need for this garbage. Every fanbase trashes their coaches on message boards. You don’t expect them to die.

Y’all quit making this into other topics, ffs

What Lane supposedly said read like he either had been incorrectly told that Leach had already passed and was reacting to it, or he was giving the reporter something he could publish later and he ran with it right away. People write obits and statements like that ahead of people passing away all the time.

That doesn’t sound very genespage-ish

They are known for toting water for the program.
