LSU: 5
Jack Bech, WR/TE
Antoine Sampah, LB
Philip Webb, LB
Damarius McGhee, CB
Jordan Toles, S
Kayshon Boutte announcing he’s coming back in 2023 sealed Bech’s fate. If Daniels returns, it means the entire 11 offensive starters will be back in 2023.
Sampah and Webb were already gone in 2022 and were not on the roster this year.
McGhee was in his 2nd year and played in only 1 game in 2022.
Toles did not contribute much in the secondary (much like McGhee) when we added 4-5 transfers in last year to shore up the depth.

Reported by On3 from 12/7/22:
Several teams are taking a hit in this year's college football transfer portal. No one is getting bludgeoned quite like Jimbo Fisher's Texas A&M Aggies.
On3 evaluates every move on college football rosters, and per its algorithm, Texas A&M has been affected the most.
So far, TWENTY TWO Aggies players have entered the portal, more than any other team in college football.
"Not everyone wants to run a jump. A lot of guys want to prove we've got a good team, we have a good group," said Fisher in a news conference last month. (h/t Sports Illustrated)
It looks as though that might not necessarily be the case. The NIL money was undoubtedly nice for the players. Escaping the Texas A&M dumpster fire? That's priceless.

What does that number really say though?
Our starters are so awesome that the studs we recruited last year realize they won't see the field for two more years?
The studs we recruited last year aren't as studly as we thought?
I've got one season left and I want to go somewhere I can play every down?
This place is a dumpster fire and I want to get as far away as possible?
Having a lot of kids enter the portal could be any or all of these or other reasons and I don't think it's necessarily an indictment of your program*.
*disclaimer: Unless you're Texas 8&4 in which case it's definitely an indictment of your program.

Where are you getting 11 from? This says 8 + someone from back in September.
I listed them by name. Count them. There are 11.

Damn. Aggies gonna lose an entire recruiting class in one giant chunk.
That $100M sure is money well spent.
That $100M sure is money well spent.

UGA still with so few transfers is amazing to me. Seems like that program is the next benchmark. They’re operating on a different level to me.

Texas A&M - 21, mostly starters or on the 2 deep
Literally zero starters on that list. Multiple walk-ons on the list. You don't know jack shite about A&M players.
The only portal guy who did anything at A&M is Andre White. He is the only player that any Aggie fans were concerned about losing.
But if it takes the sting off the loss, you can tell yourself that our entire 2 deep hit the portal.

There are walk-ons and players who medically retired before the season on homeboys list. I ain't worried about any of these guys.
We have some work to do no doubt but I don't see a single name that would have helped us next year.
The guys we are losing to the NFL like Achane, Antonio Johnson and Jaylon Jones are really going to hurt. Not these portal guys.

Mostly starters or on the two deep? The two from our #1 recruiting class are because of legal issues. Literally 3 of the ones listed here were walk ons.

You’re about to play for another NC. I’d be getting my championship gear before jumping ship.

Everyone told y'all this would happen. 21 so far. And now it's happening and y'all are screaming "NO BIG DEAL!" This that and the other.
Even when the house is on fire you have zero situational or self awareness.
It's absolutely insane at this point.
And people joke around but this is exactly what cult behavior is like.
fricking cringe man.

Everyone predicted 2/31 would leave from our 2022 recruiting class? And those two are literally because they were kicked out of school? That's what you predicted?
