Just give it up man. You don't know anything about the players at A&M. You guys think walk-ons and guys who left the team before fall camp started were in the 2-deep.

Post where I said anything about 2 deep.

I brought nothing but statistical facts to this thread. Including the whe cult thing!

UGA still with so few transfers is amazing to me. Seems like that program is the next benchmark. They’re operating on a different level to me.

I’m sure UGA will have some. They just won’t announce until after the season is over (like Last year)

My man you're delusional as phuck. I don't give a s*** if they're starters or walk-ons. You got 21 players in the portal, that says something about your program. Definitely says something about your staff. 21 players is 21 players I don't get why you don't think that's alarming. That number is going to go up.

Moon, you can say that all you want, but camp bodies are important. Depth keeps you fresh.

It certainly took a toll on our guys.

BTW - just because a guy didn't contribute this year doesn't mean he won't next year.

We shall see.

Bingo. 21 players already, plus prob 15 or so more to the draft and normal attrition. And they only have 11 commits right now. Maybe someone who is good at math can explain to me how you replace possibly 40 or more outgoing roster players with 11 recruits

That still leaves 18 scholarship players leaving college station. I would venture a guess 5-6 at least have multiple starts to their credit. Couple with double digit even maybe.

Adeleye is the one that was a surprise. He would be playing a bunch next year. Jones has been in school 6 years and is transferring and trying to get a 7th. He probably has 60-70% of the snaps of the entire list.

The next layer down is King and Stowers. King played himself into 3rd on the depth chart and Stowers is an athlete. Hope both find good homes and a chance to shine, but it leaves the QB room very thin.

There were only 8 seniors on the roster and there is no way you are just recruiting 8 kids in a class so some trimming was coming with or without attrition.

The real damage (Like others have mentioned) will be jrs going early.

andre white, brian george and chase lane have all seen the field a LOT in their years in college station. They all have varying degrees of starts under their collective belts.

aggy cult has no clue on the importance of depth on a football team. It's a waste of timing talking football with those idiots. Most of them really think a new offensive coordinator will make them a good team.

Newsflash aggy - it's your whole program that is sh*tty not just the OC. Just ask App State lolololol

List how many total snaps those guys played this year

Colonel Ignant with the “snaps” BS again. Denver had lots of snaps because he started several games when Jones was hurt. Adeleye had lots of snaps because he started the first 2 games before he got injured. LJ had lots of snaps until he got into it with Dumbo. Do you know why he got into it with Dumbo? Bouie, White, Burris, I could go on and on and you know it.

You lowlife Aggy’s are insulting those kids to prove some ridiculous narrative that they sucked and losing them doesn’t matter. Dumbo evaluated them, you praised them when they signed, and now you want to take shots at the them on the way out? That’s cult behavior and why no one likes Aggy.

He’d probably be starting next year just like he started this year. If Maason Smith was in the portal, I’d tell you that comparing those 2 would be pretty accurate. I think that both will play at the next level and they were similar in recruiting rankings out of HS…a consensus 5* and a very high 4*. One got injured in game 1 the other in game 2. Both with season ending knee injuries.

I had literally never heard of 8 of our portal guys. Let's just look at QBs. One is an interception machine and the other had fallen to #4, converted to TE (where he was still buried), then converted back simply due to injuries to Johnson and King. Good kids, but neither will be missed in terms of production.

Depth is not just numbers, it is also quality.

If you did not see a ton of snaps on the 2022 A&M football team with games with as many as 23 players out with injuries, then you are probably so far down on the depth chart that you are not really quality depth. That isn't a slight on any player. Sometimes you are a player who doesn't fit a system, or don't develop/peak at the right time, or wind up in a depth chart logjam because you don't practice well. It happens, all the way up to the NFL.

Adeleye is the one glaring exception to this in that list. He is a no doubt, get a lot of snaps guy next year.

Denver Harris is a great player and will be great somewhere, he just got sideways with the school administration with off the field issues that he needs to sort.

Ish Harris will make someone happy too. He just needs time to develop and apparently did not want to do it here.

King played himself out of a job. He opened the season as a starter in two different years and just could not get it done. I don't hate on the kid. I hope he gets a shot somewhere and is successful, but the only way he ever sees the field again in College Station is wearing a visitors jersey.

You got a kicker on there who got one opportunity to kick to pull even with App State and he managed to kick about a 3.5 ft divot. He never saw the field again.

Yeah, there are a lot of numbers in there, but not a lot of guys who would be seeing 50+ snaps a game. It leaves us thin at QB, LB and CB. Look for the focus of the incoming portal players to be in those positions.

75% of this team were underclassmen and we have only 8 graduating seniors. There were going to be portal entries either voluntarily or involuntarily in order to prevent from having a 12 recruit class.

The portal would have similar numbers whether we won 5 or 10 games.

Now, if there is not marked improvement next year, I think you start to see the impact players portaling out. They did not do it this year, and truthfully I am somewhat surprised we did not lose more real impact players.
