While we are waiting for our new coach to be announced/hired/interviewed let's look into the future and think about what type of offense would be both successful and fairly quick to get in place when combining talent on the roster and pickups in the portal.

Could Auburn be successful trying to be a grind it out on the ground team? I'm not thinking 3 yard and a cloud of dust or We Are Marshall run the veer, but if we could get some good OL in the portal, with the guys in the RB room, could we be successful?

I'm thinking UGA with Gurley and Michel, or Bama with Ingram/Richardson/Henry. Get a QB who doesn't have to win it; just don't lose it. Throw well enough and often enough to keep safeties from walking down into the box.

Would need a better oline for that to work.

Not unless the new coach can load up Oline talent like bowl cut at thUGA has.

Yeah we should consider beefing up the OL first and start from there.

Even if the spread doesn’t require dominant linemen, having dominant linemen still doesn’t hurt.

We should run whatever puts the personnel we have in the best chance to win. As far as system, it really doesn’t matter, but even those Bama and UGA teams you mentioned are outdated in terms of likeness to the NFL (which hurts recruiting potential)

Best offense I can think of is one that scores more points then the other team scores each game

I don't care if they run it every play or throw a hail Mary every play of the game. I am just ready to watch an offense that it doesn't seem impossible to score more than 20 points against decent teams.

I want touchdowns.

Loefler runs pro type Tom Brady offense.

Watch Bowling Green to preview what we are going to see.

The offense that I had the most fun watching was the 2013 Auburn offense with Nick Marshall and Tre mason and Prosch blocking his arse off. That was the most fun I ever had watching Auburn play.

I would love to see us go back to that type of offense but it requires getting some good linemen and a blocking back.

I would like to see us go back to a hurry up offense that can score too.

The Cadillac/Ronnie Brown in the field at the same time offense, with a QB that has legitimate recruits to throw to and an offensive line that holds a pocket together/makes holes

RPO up tempo offense that can run the clock as needed and has a great Run component, complementary passing. However, this requires a good QB to pull it off successfully.

HUNH - Triple Option.

We will need a defense with the most stamina ever though.
