But you wouldn't make it over an undefeated TCU, the real battle would be with a 1 loss USC that also has a conference championship under the belt

If osu and Michigan play an extremely tight game or even go into ot than both are in and ut is out.

We’re 3 games in to basketball season. Why are we looking at SoS ratings already? ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/icons/shrug.gif)

Vandy no. 1……unfortunately that isn’t unusual.

11. LSU and will rise. TN not so much.

UT was uncompetitive in their loss to UGA.
The game started. You blinked. And UGA was up 21-3 at the beginning of the 2nd quarter. 3 Score deficit almost the entire game, sacked 7 times, didn’t score a TD until 4 minutes left. Non-competitor.
If OSU/Michigan is a classic - the loser takes #4 spot I think. Winner takes #2. If TCU goes unbeaten they take #3. TN left out. If TCU loses, TN takes #3. Committee will do whatever it takes to not have an SEC semi-final.

Why you trying to convince us? We don't get to vote.

I completely agree but Tennessee fans were more enjoyable when they were wondering if they would be bowl eligible.

Win your division and you’d be able to control your own destiny.
Blew your load too early between LSU and BAMA

I agree, especially if that 1 loss Big 10 team is Michigan. They canceled a game with UCLA so they could have an easier schedule. They should not be rewarded for that. Ohio St at least played ND OOC.

Every other team in the playoff hunt has a top 20 defense.
Tennessee defense is ranked in the 40s

The committee wants the playoffs to be diverse so that more viewers from all over the country will watch. USC, Ohio State, TCU and Clemson will all probably have more wins than Tennessee, plus be conference champions.

Sincere apologies to the teams in the SECw, Ags obviously brought yours down.

Tennessee will be the top 1 loss non Conf winner excluding UGA. But they aren’t going over 1 loss USC, Clemson, or TCU. The committee has clearly shown that regardless of current rankings.

Bowl records should humble the SEC, but nope.
