Bama needs to try to get this kid in the portal. UNC isn’t going anywhere. He’s sitting with 4th best odds of winning the heisman as a freshman. Come home to Tuscaloosa Drake

There’s a rumor around town about it, but I’m skeptical. He’s a redshirt freshman. If he really is this good, he’s only around for one more season.

One season would be enough to get Ty Simpson ready for the following year. All depends on whether the staff feels like Ty is ready to take over or needs another year to develop.

UGa is looking at back to back titles with stetson Bennett he's a good QB
I'm willing to bet that a title winning QB is on campus or committed If we run an elite d and o line out of on the field

He's not transferring. He's from Charlotte, NC. His dad was a QB at North Carolina. His brother played basketball at North Carolina.

I don't get the panic about QB next season. We have two very capable QBs behind Bryce. Of course there is going to be some dropoff after one of the best QBs to ever play for Bama, but we've been in much, much worse situations at QB than this and ended up just fine. It really all depends on getting a competent OC though.

He’s not leaving there.

The one full game we played without Bryce this year:

1) Our QB turned it over 3 times.
2) He would have turned it over 6 times if TAMU’s secondary could catch a ball.
3) Our HOME game against the worst team in the SEC came down to the final play.

Turnovers are pretty common for young QBs, especially in their first ever start. Good news is is that they can be fixed, especially fumbles.

Also, he looked like an explosive player against Arkansas for the most part.

Also, he has BoB as an OC.

I'm not worried about the QB once we get a new OC in there whose entire plan is not to draw up shitty routes and hope Bryce can bail him out with magic.

We've won with all kinds of QBs. If the coach is right we can win with who we have here and who we have coming in.

Well I can believe the rumor... if Phil Longo comes over to Bama, Gotta think Drake comes to Bama with him.

I'm skeptical of trying to build a team through the portal. I think that should be a lesson from this season. I think Bama has quarterbacks they can win with on the roster. Milroe will have the experience advantage, but I expect Simpson or one of the incoming freshmen to win the job by next August.

What rumor? He is not going anywhere. The family, except for one brother, all attended UNC and his one brother is there now as well. The family are boosters and unless Brown leaves along with the program falling off, which both are unlikely while he is there, he will stay at UNC.

ty simpson, i do believe will be the next qb. i had high hopes for milroe, but he's to gifted athletically to waste the rest of his career at qb.

Why would Longo want to come here. All the coaches on that stuff like playing for Brown. He does not micro manage them and UNC is in position to win the ACC and go to a NY6 bowl.

I think it's in the best interest that Maye stays in NC.

He's adapted to Brown's system quite quickly - and I'm not sure that if he went to Tuscaloosa he'd be the same

Would love for him to shine here though.

Nabbing Maye from UNC: pretty cool.
Nabbing Longo from UNC: championship move.

Wouldn't count on either happening lol. Good offensive things are only for non-BOB-havers.

Not happening. He has a good shot to be the first pick in the draft, even he stays at UNC.
