LSU vs Bama - Rational fan takes only

We have 2 weeks of waiting and the majority of my LSU brethren will be on an emotional high and calling a " 30 point win, you heard it here first". Truth is that we have seen a ton of improvement game by game and we are feeling much better about our team and the staff that BK has put together. While we have improved most know that we have the talent to keep it a game and something crazy could happen and we could pull out a W. It's more likely that we are a season or two away from really competing and expecting a win. Just my take as a rational Tiger. Also, Buck Fama

LSU has seemed to have hit their stride and is rolling. There are moral deficiencies with this bama team (Players opening striking women while on camera). This is a sign of a rotten win at all cost culture. These types of things usually catch up to the abuser. LSU wins by 3 TD. The valley will be shaking and I just pray Saban and his thugs don’t get scared and hit another Lady.

Rational takes not allowed.

If LSU holds the running game in check even remotely close to the way we did last year LSU has more than a shot.

I haven't expected any wins since FSU, for which I'm unbelievably grateful brought me down to earth. This way, every week is a beautiful surprise.
I expect a pummeling. Tigers aren't there yet. This entire season is lagniappe in my eyes so I'm just having a good time. Also, A&M sucking so much arse this year is literally like a ghost win for me so there's that too.

LSU is long overdue for a Tiger Stadium win against the Crimson Emperor.
Head says Bama, heart says the Tigahs. I do think it'll be much closer than the Tennessee game. Should be an epic matchup.

LSU will be tough to beat. The crowd will be excited as expected like it always at Tiger Stadium. It will present a problem for us.
We could win by 3 points or get beat by a couple of scores. If LSU wins, they would have the West almost wrapped up.
We have the talent but will we put it together for 60 minutes in front of a hostile crowd? If we go based on how the season has gone so far, I don't think we'll win it. But you never, we could finally step up and look good for once this season.
Good luck gents

G-Mac was just stating on air that he believes LSU is peaking at the right time, between Daniels and the receivers. Combined with O and D line play, he expects this to be one of the toughest games of the year.
In other words, like it almost always is between LSU and Bama.
I look forward to it. Hope Bama doesn't have anxiety [lol]. If there is any team [see Mike Leech's comments] who doesn't fear the Alabama jersey, it's LSU.

We are hitting our stride at the right time. If the team we have seen the past two weeks shows up we have a puncher's chance to end the streak of Bama wins in Baton Rouge. I am feeling good about this game.

Much more than a puncher's chance.

Come on guys! We play tough and make it a game, but we don’t have the depth to hang with them. Bama wins walking away in the fourth quarter. Anything is possible in this game, but not likely. Happy to enjoy the realization that we have real football coaches in Baton Rouge for the first time in a long time

Realistically, it's hard to say what exactly to expect from either of these teams a couple of weeks from now.
But I've been impressed with what BK has done thus far and LSU is much further ahead of where I thought they'd be at this point.
I think on paper this game shouldn't necessarily be close, but given Alabama's struggles at times (especially away from home), it's not out of the realm of possibility for it to be much more interesting.
In other words, there is reason to have cautious optimism on either side, IMO.

Can we make Daniels the one-read and run QB or will he continue to settle in as a thrower? That could be the difference in a comfortable win and a coin toss

dunno about that. But bama has struggled big time on the road so

i think we can keep it close, but i do not think we shutdown gibbs and young and we will have to score to keep it close and have a chance in the end.
i see this one playing out like 2012 but much higher scoring. Bama gets ball late and scores go ahead with seconds left.
hope im wrong.

Bama is not as unbeatable as years past, but we almost always get their best shot, last year notwithstanding.
Could be a close game in the 4th, but I’d expect Bama to win by 10 or more. Like the other poster said, we’re still at least a year away.

As it should be.

If LSU can figure out how not to start the game slow like they have been known to do this year, I think they‘ll have a shot. But if they start slow, then they will likely dig themselves too deep of a hole

LSU is not going to beat Alabama. Sorry but get real. LSU seems to be improving though and I would be disaspointed if the LSU vs Bama is not a great game. I am still not sold on Brian Kelly as a coach but its his first year so you have to give him a chance.

LSU has been trending upwards.
Bama downwards.
Seems we’re gonna meet somewhere around the middle November 5th. Glad y’all hit your stride and the game has some umph behind it!
