Reading SDSU’s forum, I want us to beat the hell out of them. I guess reading any opposing fanbases comments would make me feel that way though.

Look at the woman behind Coach Oats!

She already has her hands up as well.

She knew it was...#Money

Sidenote: Kind a looks like his daughter.

Bobby gave him is first college job at Buffalo. Danny recommended him to Bobby after seeing Oats' teams play while recruiting one of his high school players.

The dad is a legend and produced some very good high school players.

You’d think they’d be a little more sympathetic to media firestorms and poor PR

quote:

For a university that repeatedly claims they have done nothing wrong, that they handled the rape accusations against three football players perfectly, SDSU officials surely act as if they have something to hide.

First, while President Adela de la Torre defended SDSU’s actions in an opinion piece as well as a letter to the editor of the San Diego Union Tribune, she twice refused to speak with journalists about this matter.

Before the Los Angeles Times broke the story on June 3, the reporters approached de la Torre for comment, and they were told no, the president would not speak with them: “A university spokeswoman said De la Torre was not available for interviews for this report.”

Then, on July 29, the LA Times printed the victim’s account of her rape, and once more: “A San Diego State spokeswoman said Friday that university President Adela de la Torre was not available for comment.”

To state the obvious, de la Torre is perfectly available when it comes to the Mission Valley project, Snapdragon Stadium, or expanding the Imperial Valley Campus. But a university president also has to confront bad news as well the good. It’s not all happy talk. And by refusing to speak to the press about this incident, she gives the impression that she’s avoiding hard questions, that she is neither accountable nor transparent.

SDSU gave further evidence that they were more interested in controlling the narrative than providing substantive answers when on Aug. 3, football coach Brady Hoke, during a Zoom call with media, vowed “full cooperation” with the investigation. After Hoke finished reading from his prepared script, a reporter asked, “Coming into this year, what steps are you taking to make sure that things like this aren’t happening this year with your players?”

Hoke started to answer, but then, he was interrupted by an Athletic Department media relations official, who reiterated that “as Coach mentioned, he cannot share any details at this time and I direct you to the public website providing information about the off-campus incident and the actions the university continues to take.”

Me too.

I lived 30 minutes from Boise from 2013 to 2017 and one of my best friends is a huge BSU fan.

TideSaint = Idaho Potato Tider

On a serious note, my first experience with Boise State was back when they had that magical season and beat Oklahoma. I kinda liked them since, met some Boise fans and they were pretty cool. That blue football field they have going on is pretty kickass too.

I don't like BYU or SDSU though

Not the most impactful night of college hoops ever. But the results shifted the sand just enough to give Alabama the #1 spot in our performance rankings at https://Haslametrics.com for the first time this season....and for the first time ever.

Just looked up Griffen's stats. Since the Miller news dropped (9 games), Griffen has shot 19% from the field and 11% from 3 to go along with some pretty shoddy defensive work. He's become almost unplayable at this point.

Tide 100.9
quote:

The Alabama Crimson Tide advanced into the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament thanks to two emphatic victories this past weekend. The Tide, the number one overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, was able to lean on a home court advantage by virtue of playing in Birmingham.

Alabama head coach Nate Oats has been vocally thankful to the Crimson Tide nation throughout the season as the fanbase has travelled in mass to support this team.

"I looked it up. Its only a five hour trip from Birmingham, six hours from here, three and a half from Huntsville. So we need all the Roll Tide fans out there to travel up to Louisville. Hopefully we can make Louisville similar to what Birmingham was for us, because that was great, the environment we had going in Birmingham," said Oats on Monday's edition of "Hey Coach".

Hopefully they can make it. When you're the number one overall seed, you get to pick where you want to play in the first two weekends. We picked Birmingham, obviously, and we picked Louisville. We picked Louisville for a reason, so we'd make sure we'd get our fan base up there. So let's make sure they don't disappoint. They've been great so far. They were great in Nashville for the SEC Tournament. They were great in Birmingham for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. We need them to be great for the next two rounds."

.

Which is a shame. He looked like another emerging stud in that game at Auburn.
