About to go? To quote Bo Burnham “They say the whole world’s ending? Honey it already did.”

Y’all young lucky bastards have never seen rock bottom. Gus left this program close to Barfield shambles.

We are in the middle of a Dye 81-82 rebuild. Shut the frick up, support the kids for fighting, and reap the rewards in a couple years.

Or go suck the midgets dick in T-town

The midget in T-town is past his prime and he never was a great coach, just one of the best recruiters of all time. He sucked in the NFL because he didn’t have 32 #1 draft picks a year.

That is really humorous.

Also about as far from reality as you can get.

We have so many pussies as fans, I swear. Ask A&M how they’re feeling today. Nobody is talking about “Fire Mack Brown” and UNC barely escaped 2 FCS teams. It’s a long season and we’ve started it 2-0. Some of you guys need to get a fricking grip.

Barfield had to deal with probation related to Shug but he had competitive teams and it was not in shambles. Totally different college football today as compared to 1970's.
This site allows all to voice their opinions so deal with it without being an arse. No one has knocked on the young men playing for Auburn. This thread is about the direction of the program. If you truly think there will be rewards in two years I hope you are right. This Aubie just don't see it.

Recruiting - Is Talent replenished?

Relevance- highest ranking in AP at one point in the season

W/L- Is the trajectory up?

Team Goals- bIg wins/ big seasons

All 4 have slid post Gus. Nobody knows where our bottom is

I remember 2012. That was rock bottom since I’ve been a fan for 21 years or so.

I must be one of those unlucky bastards as I was in school during the Barfield days. I believe 1979 was 8-3.
Just this past Friday night I asked a 7A Ga high school HC his thoughts on Auburn..." is the program better off right now than 2 years ago" was his first response. "We hear from everyone else but Auburn" was his second.
$$$ is being spent on a support staff that know absolutely nothing about identifying talent.

Unfortunately, Auburn over the years has found a way to give us a great season immediately following a low point.

Dye's last years/Eric Ramsey followed by 11-0
Tater-to leaving mid-season followed by being in the SEC championship game 2 years later
2008 James Franklin fiasco and barely being able to score followed by 2010 and Cam Newton
2012 followed by 2013

It is almost in our nature that once one coach leaves, something great will happen followed by years of mediocrity, rinse and repeat. However, this time no such luck. And we have a coach that can't or won't seem to recruit. So now the fear is we get inot the Tennessee cycle, of coach after coach with no result. The only thing we got going for us is that Saban's tenure is closer to its end than its beginning.

If we go ahead and make a move at the end of the season, we could possibly begin to dig out of this with the right hire.

Will the right hire get made? Who knows? What I do know is that if we continue with the current coach, yes, dark ages are upon us. It will be years and years of mediocrity and malaise washing over the program.
