It appears having a fully committed coach is worth more than great offensive production.

How many times did you run inside zone?
Rocket: 30 times. Jesus.

We could’ve had 1000 yards and it wouldn’t have made a difference. Kiffin clearly isn’t fully committed and that made a difference.

Now that that’s out of the way can we discuss how much a thanksgiving day game sucks again? I wished they never moved it back

Defense got pushed around. Offense with 3 turnovers and 2 poorly timed penalties. In the end the offense came together. The defense only did because Arkansas let off the gas. Partridge needs to go this Iowa 3-4 does not work against the run.

Just sent my Egg Bowl tickets to friends. I would rather be with family and friends than make the trip and freeze my arse off to watch a team that has lost belief in itself.
I don’t blame the kids.

Might be the drunkest I ever get on Thanksgiving next week. Gonna be surrounded by State fans that day.
Rebs win 38-17.

The fact the offense finally started to show up and Kiffin didn’t stop coaching was a good sign. I will admit I am embarrassed to be a fan after that first half. Partridge needs to learn to make in game adjustments. Finally half way through the 2nd half he abandoned the 3 man front…..after that Rocket kid had shredded our D for 200 yards rushing in the first half…..and why can’t we tackle to save our lives is beyond me.

The officiating was questionable, but we can’t blame anyone for how poorly we played in the red zone and tackled.
Gotta move on cuz State is gonna bring it Thursday.

Dart has regressed. His first instinct when he feels a bit of pressure is to tuck the ball and run.

Yeah Dart was not very good last night. He repeatedly missed open receivers. I mean like over and over.
As for Thursday, State is certainly emboldened now because even though it was East Tennessee State they rolled and that’s what’s fresh on their mind along with that abysmal first half we played.

I'm gonna be a bitch for a second and vent (read: melt).
I thought sleeping would help me not be as angry as I was last night but it didn't help. I live in Oxford and go to every home game, even the ungodly hot ones that Lane bitches that we don't show up for. After he came out questioning the fanbase, I legitimately felt embarrassed. I wished our fanbase were better at showing support, even if it were against subpar competition in a shitty stadium that is uncomfortable to be in for 15 minutes, let alone 3 hours. Our response in the Kentucky game made me feel as though we responded to his concerns.
As this new saga of Auburn has unfolded, I've seen concerns about facilities, NIL, and salary be raised and seemingly, according to all reports, we've matched every bit of what Auburn offers aside from stadium capacity. NIL has received an enormous commitment through the last few weeks from the fanbase and has surpassed anything that has reportedly been asked for by Lane. Dude has complete control of the program and complete buy in from the fanbase.
Then, last night happens. Completely and totally outclassed by a dude making $2.5 million less a year than his current contract, and $4.5 million less a year than the contract currently being offered by OMAF. A lack of focus and readiness was entirely apparent. And the announcers were actively campaigning for him to go to the "better" job in Auburn.
What more could this guy want? Why the frick do we have to sacrifice so much time and money to some a-hole who makes an enormous joke of a salary to coach a children's game and he STILL won't say that he's fricking staying or going after we've done everything the dude has asked us to.
It shouldn't feel personal, but it does and I can't remove myself from it. And it feels awful to say that because I feel like a moron as a man in his 30s to feel like this. If he doesn't go to Auburn, I'm not buying season tickets. This is what is wrong with the current version of college football, along with the constant issues with shitty officiating. I'll go to the Grove and see family and friends and that's it. If it isn't worth Lane's time at $9.5 million a year, it ain't worth mine to sit there and watch a guy who so entirely doesn't give a single shite about Ole Miss.

Those announcers were wild last night. They were helping Kiffin pack his bags.
Posted on 11/20/22 at 9:16 am to Eric Nies Grind Time
They've done a shitty job a multitude of times commentating Ole Miss games. Even before this game, I felt like if there was a negative take to be had about Ole Miss or what our players were doing on the field, Jordan Rodgers made it known throughout the broadcast. I can't remember which game it was, but there were multiple calls for targeting, each of them were overturned because they obviously weren't targeting, and while watching the replay, you would have thought Jordan Rodgers was watching our players kill someone live on video.

TMRebel, all of what you said is a fair assessment.
I posted something similar a couple pages back
Kiffin is getting very close to the line of dating the hot girl that includes so much drama that it almost isn’t worth it anymore and let her walk.

Yep. He either commits or we roll the dice with someone else. Him flirting every off-season kills momentum. If that's how he wants to be, let him go screw with the Auburn fans every year.

quote:I’m with y’all. At this point if he isn’t ready to commit to Ole Miss then he needs to jump ship. Let his noncommittal attitude affect auburn’s recruiting. Their fanbase will get a nice slap in the face when they realize he’s looking for a “bigger” or “better” opportunity at the very first chance.

Yep - whether it's us or Auburn he'll still be tied to every major opening. NFL, Miami, Alabama, Texas, etc.
