So, who in the fuk do you think was there first choice?

Curtis sounds like the typical Barner. Such lame, cliche comments. And who does he think was the first choice? Kirby? Just an unnecessary comment...he embarrassed himself.
Hope the player meeting went well. Twitter blowing up about Caleb Downs and Ohio St because their QB just followed him.

How does DeBoer address the thin and inexperienced wide receiver core?
Posted on 1/13/24 at 6:52 am to Sebastian
DeBoer was a wide receiver so he'll get them up to par quickly!
We got a lot more talent then you think.

We need to grab a few guys like he had at Washington. I know the two kids that signed with Auburn would be great in this offense. Maybe Thompson at least will transfer next year.
ETA: It seems Saban didn’t like tall receivers and preferred the size of guys like Hale and Cooper about 6 ft.

We’ll likely fill out the roster with a few portal transfers in the next couple weeks, and we’ll look heavily in the spring window

Haven’t all the decent receivers transferred already?

The only WR in the portal right now worth a damn is Isaiah Bond.
We would’ve regretted Evan Stewart had Saban brought him in before he signed elsewhere, he’s a massive headcase.

Anyone have a live scholarship roster-tracker going so we know where we stand with incoming freshman and outgoing players?
I feel like that used to be a pinned post.

We have three pretty good ones coming in with this class (four if he can get Williams back in). With his experience with WRs hopefully he can get them to their max potential.

I like what Caleb Odom brings to the game even if he is technically a tight end. He’s a mismatch.

He played some WR in high school, too. He's built more like a big WR than a TE at this stage in his development.

There’s another window in a couple months

The one thing I'm concerned about with him is NIL management. His philosophy is to not pay high school kids as much as the players on the team. That will hurt with teams in the south being willing to pay as much as they are for talent. I'm hoping that philosophy is geared because of poor NIL support in Washington.
I agree with it completely. The kids working their butts off on your team need to get more than kids who haven't done anything yet, I just think other teams aren't using that philosophy.

That was a university of Washington philosophy. He will do what he needs to do to win. The guy isn’t going to undermine his ability to compete

I think
Gatlin Bair, the
top rated wide receiver out of Idaho is still unsigned...don't really know anything about him.
6'-2", 175
I like the height.

Long lineage of great wide receivers from Idaho. They grow up catching potatoes with each hand. Who needs Ryan Williams.
I’m also hoping we go for a corner out of Maine. Samuel “Tabby Cat” Dickerson.
